He used to haul medicine. He should’ve used past tense in his sentence.

Yes, I forget. Everything is in past tense.

I get cranked up when I hear of people lost in the dock unable to get paid unable to load, unable to wait unable to do anything worthwhile in food.

Its amazing our stores brim with food. Wonders never cease.

Sometimes i take a picture of their clock on their wall. ( if it is set to correct time). Or in their dock. Had a customer argue with me apprx a month ago. When i wrote my arrival and departure times he wired out. Told him it was on my eld also. Then to top it off when i called dispatch for my 1 hour detention, she says we only give them 1 hour grace instead of 2. I didn't go in and tell him that. But 100 bucks was on my pay for 2 hours. Hope they had to pay it. Sometimes i think our company just pays it.

More often than not, you have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get paid detentions.
The top 4 known brokers, who I know that the will make it hard to get paid are:

    1. TQL
    2. CH Robinson
    3. Coyote (tricky swindlers as their name indicates...)
    4. Swift

You have to be very upfront with them about the detention, especially if you know that a place you go to is detention-prone. Even better from negotiating the detention is to demand a higher rate instead.

UBER, Convoy, JB Hunt lately made it relatively easy to be paid detention, if you follow their protocol.

That's why I prefer using Uber and Convoy. Their app knows exactly when I arrive and leave, and detention is practically automatic. When I used brokers, I had it spelled out in the ratecon, I followed all of their rules, got the in and out times signed, and they still didn't pay. That's when I pretty much gave up on traditional brokers. I realize they aren't all like that, but I'm not waiting around for the good ones.

The keyword here is "sometimes" but in reality its most of the time you'll sit waiting in line just like everybody else

Most my time is spent is putting equipment on and off, but lets be honest , idk about you but id rather strap/chain and tarp for 3 hours than sit in a dock with my pecker in my hand

Lol. Well it works for you. Heniz at fremont , ohio has made me easy money in the past. 1 hour grace and 50 an hour for the other 4 to 6. Nap time.

That’s why you get your woman to ride with you, then she can have your pecker in her hand. Or wherever...
