How does one figure the FET on buying a used truck?
For example, if I were to locate a truck for around $35,000, what would my approximate out the door cost be minus plate and insurance?
FET calculator?

FET is 12$ and is imposed on the first retail sale of certain heavy vehicles.

Many thanks, drivers!
Working towards my first truck, planning on buying a decent used truck now and parking it to work on all the major (hopefully none) and minor mechanical issues before I plate it and put it to work.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
I think it's 9% on new vehicles.

You’ll only pay the 12% FET on used trucks if they are imported from Canada.
Hegemeister and Bean Jr. Thank this. -

Just might have a heck of a good deal on a good used truck that I don't want to miss, at a price point where I can afford to keep it parked while I keep my current company position for a bit longer.
