    Ok after reading through 40+ pages on the thread that PlayMaker started on The New FFE Academy several have shown interest in joining the FFE team. Perhaps this thread can document the progress, failures and achievements of this graduating class?

    Denton, WVUpride, WTGal, AwholeWEIRDO and myself have applied and have been accepted to begin our schooling in Texas on August 15th, 2011.

    Perhaps some in those class could give the reason they chose FFE for schooling and as a carrier to hire on with?

    My reasoning was because the training in the school was praised as being very tough, and as a novice with zero experience I feel like I can use all the help I can get. Most would suggest a trucking school or community college, however my finances will not allow for this. My hopes are with this school that I be trained to the exact expectations of the employer, something I don't think I would get going through Driver's Solutions then on to PAM. Anyone else wanna express the reason FFE was chosen?

    My reason for choosing this program over the others was like yours 4wheeljoshua, however I also had some other intentions. This program has been pride itself on being tough and getting you ready for the road, also preparing you for what FFE transportations wants in adriver to extend your carrer with them. They unlike other compaines dont force they lease purchase program on you ( at least the recuriters havent over the phone; well wait an see about the school when we get there). They also I fell keep you on the road with a trainer for 6 weeks which I fell is a good amount of time to get there point across.

    my reason for choosing ffe is 1) there training program. i like that fact that it is 18 straight days (cdl training) instead of dragging it out and also get you out on the road quicker. 2) i like the fact that i dont have to pay for anything out of pocket except for food and for the license. 3) they have a terminal 20 mins from where i live 4). they have fairly new equipment. 5) they got back to me really really fast... i was kind of skeptical about that though.. lol

    No I was told it would be here yesterday, never came so I called, was told it would be here in an hour, never came yet.
