Its not just California problem, its NATIONWIDE. Oklahoma comes to mind, has some of ####tiest roads but they're tolled at same time. Same with Illinois/Indiana

So anyway, after discounts I paid $2.64 gallon last Friday at the afore mentioned Petro. California IFTA is $0.57. So that would be the equivalent of $3.21. Best price in California, after discounts, the northern part anyway, is the TA in Corning @ $3.23.
Actually $0.02 cents cheaper, which is no big deal, not even $3 for the amount I usually buy when I fuel, but certainly not more expensive. -
However, OR does collect fuel taxes through the permit they require to operate in their state. All the other states collect their fuel taxes at the pump and through IFTA. Some states (IN, KY, VA) require an additional fuel tax referred as a fuel surcharge. Other states (NM, KY, NY) require a weight-distance permit, but in my case, I pay less than $10 quarterly for KY & NY, and less than $100 quarterly in NM.
Ultimately, it makes no difference if you fuel in OR, or not. The miles driven and gallons purchased in OR must be reported to IFTA, and it’s actually to our advantage to report it; otherwise, we will end up paying more in fuel taxes.Attached Files:
