So I've finally decided to start trucking, and I would like to start as soon as possible. I'm looking for input on the best company-paid training program to start with. If you could offer input based on personal experience or second-hand it would be greatly appreciated! I'm already thinking of Roehl, Prime, and US Express, feel free to list pros/cons of each and offer your suggestion! Im 21, btw. Thanks in advance!!
Finally Decided... Need Input!

Alot of it depends where you live too. Please list city and state. Some companies dont hire from certain areas.

Welcome to the industry, I would say depending on what you wat to do in this vast array of things to do, If you are healthy and strong there is quit a bit of money to be made in flat bed but if you don't like the labor intensive things then eith Dry box(which I do) or reefer, If you can sleep in a moving bed then you can go to teaming and make money while the truck is rolling down the smooth roads that our current President promised he would pave and make even smoother. It really depends where you are. If you can tell us then we can better help you. Wherever you go allow me to tell you to stay where you are, unless you are unsafe in that place and no one cares or the check don't clear the bank. If either of these are the case then Ihighly suggest that you stay where you go for at least a year or more. Good Luck Keep us informed as to where you go.

CLICK HERE for a list of trucking companies that hire new drivers.
There are several others not on this list.
You will have to check the age 21 on their websites. Prime has tanker/flatbed/refrigerated. Roehl has flatbed/van/refrigerated.
Willis Shaw Express
JBS Carriers
Usually, the best annual pay will be flatbed or tanker/hazmat.
Study for the endorsements; tanker/hazmat and apply for TWIC and a passport.
At the top of this page, click on "CDL Practice Tests." -
McElroy Trucking in Cuba Alabama will hire you after CDL School

Millis has a school.

Do alot of your research on this site. This question gets asked every other day here so your not the first.
You will get little pieces just like ladr mentioned. Narrow down what you want to do first and take your time IMO.
For me wanted to be local but after just getting CDL driving straight truck doing 25-30 stops a day wasn't very interesting.
Also you can PM other users and ask more company specific questions they are a great source of info. Good Luck. -
Have you thought about your local community college...if money is a problem , most of them offer all kinds of tuition assistance , along with federal grants and student loans you can get some or even all of the money you need. It can come from the school , or the government. This will give you a better chance to choose who you work for , once you finish school , also most offer some sort of job placement help too.
