In the contract, it should have said something about this agreement in lawyerspeak, the company represented by US or WE and the employer represented by YOU. There should have also been a section on both parties involved agreeing on an arbitrator. They should have given you copy of this part of the agreement signed by a representative of the company and by you. If you don’t mind, could you hide all the personal names and signatures and post a copy of this agreement here? Lots of times, they will have someone standing over you giving a cliffs notes version of what the contract actually says or what you’re actually agreeing to. I would like to see what your contract says.
Finally found a job and have some questions.

Just remember, Safety.
Get out and look.
So to get out 20 times, may even throw hat on ground and stomp it, a few times.
Better than hitting someone/something.
We’ve all had difficult spots to back in, Some are harder than others to some people, and remember if you leave enough room for someone to drive behind you while your backing, they will.Michelle33 and Speedy356 Thank this. -
OK, so I'll tell more about my orientation and first day with trainer so far. I think it's been a month or two before I got call from my recruiter. Nothing special about him, probably as many others will tell you anything you want to hear to join the company but at the same time pretty limited information. Hotel is one of the worst I've seen. Housekeeping didn't provide clean bedding and towels, the room is dirty obviously. WE provides some muffins, apple and bottle of water in the morning. For lunch you may get a hot dog, small bag of chips and a can of soda. Also Subway gift card for dinner which is only $8. In the classroom you have to watch bunch of videos and answer questions in Driver Pulse, and then a few more videos on TV. Again pretty limited information. I'll try to post the contract here that I had to sign.
Now about the trainer I got. Basically on any question I ask he has 2 answers - or they don't pay him for this (pre-trip as an example), or I don't have to worry about it. This is my first experience and I don't know how most drivers do their pre-trip, but he checks his lights, walks around the truck and checks tires with a mallet and that's pretty much his pre-trip. All the lights are on including check engine, and something is wrong with front axle or wheel bearing (or both), anyways he doesn't care that his truck is falling apart. I'd prefer to be alone at this point and learn everything on my own than waste time with a "trainer".bryan21384, Flat Earth Trucker and Michelle33 Thank this. -
Are you doing orientation in Nashville?

In 2012 it $4,442 or close to that. In effect, it's a mafia-style contract. Since our government is essentially the mafia, such an unequal contract is considered legal. -
bryan21384, TripleSix, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this.
