    Hi there,
Ill start off by saying that I am still considered a new driver/rookie {11 months exp} with only a little bit of formal training.

In 2022 , i got my CDL from 160 Driving Academy and which is a Three week program but my training kept getting extended due to the school equiptment issues (trucks broke down everyday).Since getting my CDL ive worked at maybe five differrnet Companies and two of them i never drove for because the didnt have enough female trainers and the wait time for a trainer was about 2 months so i had no choice but to find another job. I wasnt particular on who trained me I just needed to start working ASAP.

Well, long story short. I got sucked into a 6month contract at a second chance company and then the fired me for what they called a minor incident , at that time i would have have atleast 3 other Minor Incidents (backing/Scraping trailers) with this company ,all of which i asked to be paired with a Driver Trainer so they wouldnt happen again. They told me it wasnt nessecary because i was in my own truck and just to complete the online saftey trainings they sent to me.

At this current time I am unemployable. 73+ companies have denied my application because I was terminated by the saftey team at the second chance company. I cant afford to pay for training out of pocket and cant find another job.

Basically im asking for advice...Am I still empolyable? Who would hire me? or should i just throw in the towel and give up on trucking?

please excuse all the spelling errors...

If you want any real help here--you need to give us a good idea of where you live--closest city/state works.

3 jobs, 3 incidents, and 1 termination in 11 months is a pretty steep hurdle to overcome. Trucking may not be for you.
The conditions at the company that would hire you are going to be worse than the conditions you have experienced so far.
How much car driving experience did you have before you got a CDL? What was your record driving a car?

Sorry but no amount of extra training will help you stop hitting stuff. You simply need to g.o.a.l. and you aren't doing it enough. As harsh as it sounds, maybe you will do better in a different career.

Probably not looking good. I would suggest pursuing a different career path, at least for the time being.

That's a lot early on but I don't think it's a career ender. I've seen guys get hired with worse issues. You gotta pay closer attention and not be afraid to get out and look. That said, you may not get on with the best of companies, but if you're serious about this, you'll take whatever you can get. You'll be fine though. Just keep taking in these lessons. We all have tore up stuff. They're only lessons to be learned.

You wouldn't want to work for anyone that would hire you, in my opinion.

In the past , she would be far from done with only 3 minor incidents but things have radically changed . I think that until freight volumes increase dramatically , we will see even the second chance companies get pickier and pickier .
I know of at least one such company that is willing to let its fleet shrink dramatically rather than slug it out in this economy . Its a legit survival strategy right now

You’ve been asked several times “Where are you Located” ? Even though it seems that trucking isn’t for you, you still might have a chance to possibly find a small company like an owner operator set up 1099. That’s if your still interested. But you need to state your LOCATION………

First post: might not come back…….:confused:o_O:eek:
