I understand what you're saying, but if they get caught it's a big deal. UPS is one of the best and worst jobs all in one.

I never see a fat UPS driver. And I don't like the brown trucks charging up my gravel driveway whipping around the curve moving that rock.

I chose to ship fed ex now. Whatever comes in is via Fed Ex. Nothing against Mr Brown, but if they don't start taking the time to take it steady and easy....

They may not be in the same league, but they sure as HELL are in the same Ballpark. Don't know too many bottom feeders that make OVER $100k.

And by the way, UPS Freight "IS" UPS Brown. Both Parcel and Freight are under the same umbrella. One is small package and the other is LTL.

I agree about the UPS package drivers having high stop counts and there is no doubt that their job is physically demanding, 15 stops on a ltl p&d route sounds about normal from what I can remember when I did p&d, the number of stops never really bothered me and it really wasn't that physically demanding, but it could be frustrating at times, customer closures or refusals as you know would mean working around freight in the trailer, a pallet jack came in real handy.

If the OP did hit another vehicle you would think there would be more damage than just scuff marks on the tire, one thing that was not mentioned was it a steer or drive tire?

They said it was on a drive tire. And if it were true, I would think there would be some scrapping on the wheel rims which there wasn't.

Which is why I pay a little extry for air freight for computer parts from the west coast or jersey to either Little Rock or Memphis. I usually have that part in about 15 hours at my door if I carefully plot the correct time and day of week to hit the buy button.

It beats watching the UPS Updates of a truck trailer burning or freezing for 3 to 4 days in some god forsaken drop lot in the middle of rattlesnake choketown new mexico.

Well if what you say is true its to bad, sounds like the safety department just doesn't want to deal with it which is really messed up.

Same umbrella in that they're both owned by UPS. But a different contract that pays differently.

I don't even know what he was talking about up there. UPS Freight, for example, does dedicated work out of P&G in Hutchins Tx. That's an $800 dollar a week job.

100k.....who comes up with this s••t?
