3 hrs over is what they call "egregious" and comes with some pretty severe penalties. You aren't going to get 20 years for 15-30 minutes.

 

if he got 20 years it wasn't due to the logs had to do with w/e the manslaughter charges and other stuff.

 

OK then. 1/6th of 20 years for being over 1/6th of 3 hrs. Still doin' time. And we all know how 30 minutes becomes an hour and then becomes 3 hrs. "I ain't doing no 34 hr reset 3 hrs from home"

Prison is full of people that thought it couldn't happen to them. Pray God you're never involved in a fatality when you're 30 minutes over. You should never have been there. You should have been 30 miles away from the crash scene.

We all have choices you think you don't sometimes but you do and there an effect on your choice always. If I recall the story about the 20 yr guy correct, he didn't he even cause the wreck. It was at the back of a chain reaction and he just happened to have a 4 wheeler in front of him instead of another truck.

If he didn't cause the wreck why was he charged? I am certain him going over his hours didn't help but there's more to story him being guilty than just going over hours.

I imagine becasue he killed a family and was 3 hours over on his log book. He shouldn't have been there. IIRC, it was a chain reaction. The truck ahead of him ran into the back of another truck and he couldn't get stopped before he crushed a 4 wheeler and killed a family between him an the wrecked truck ahead of him. IIRC the truck driver ahead of him was killed too.

 

I don't care what you do but remember........ of the 12 jurors that decide where you live for the next 5 to 20 years, exactly ZERO of them have ever driven a truck.
