Loaded these in nebraska and delivered them to Sioux Falls sd today. Front coil was just over 22 and the back one was 25. Sucks using my 26 foot long 6 foot drop tarps but it is all we carry.

Good. Looks better than the CRST driver that passed me 3 times today, each time with his tarps tore up more . . . And more.

I agree with sneaker the 45 and up coils suck. But they did bounce me home a few times so it was better then hanging out in truck stop waiting for back haul.

@mpd240 I don't mean to nitpick, but if that's a 53 ft step, you may get yourself in a bind putting a heavier coil that far back.

I personally don't mind a 45,000+ coil on my deck. Chuck all the chains at it, tarp it, and roll out. Just like any other load, ya gotta respect your freight and realize that load actively wants to kill you.

Coils are easy. I worry more about super squirrely mix and match loads that never feel properly secured even after you've tied them down every possible way.

Right. Had the same thought. No dot scales between where I picked up and where I loaded. However I weighted it at the truck stop in Sioux Falls I was 38560 on my spread. Would reverse the coils next time.

I'm starting to not mind coils but those 40k plus ones get a lot of respect. The only one I've haul that big was about 6 ft tall and only about 3 to 4 ft wide. I'm still unpuckering my butt from that one.
