First truck...D13 or MX13? Hauling containers.

    Not necessarily, myself and everyone I work with run 80k everyday. Diesels are built to always run under a load, it's the idle time that causes the issues. If the engine has a ton of hours on it I'd be skeptical. I was in a spare truck for about 2 weeks while my clutch was getting replaced, flat top Mack with a 445/10 spd and it had 602k miles with over 27,000 hours...talk about a rough life for a truck.

    I wouldn’t even consider any MX13 older than 2016 model year.

    Around 2015 they redesigned the fuel system and the EGR. Earlier years were plagued with problems and were basically underpowered junk.

    No way to fix their problems? I'm wanting the MX to be good because the $40k price is where I'd like to be.

    Yes, from that era they can be “fixed” and tuned if you can find a shop to do it.
