Have a 2005 Acert also. The rocker studs let go and took out the head and valve train. Lots of VVA problems eventually solved with a new wiring harness. Currently has a piece of chrome flaked off one of the cam lobes. The 2001 6nz however was a truly trouble free engine

Well not a big deal fix but add in a new windshield. Was sleeping up in the mountains and a rock from snow plow must had hot my windshield and cracked it when I got up.

Well to keep this hell year going I have had to do a couple more things to this truck. Radiator popped a small leak on top of the unit. So had to replace that #### thing. Emission system had some problems and had to replace Both NOx sensors and clean DEF system. Will need to get Windshield fixed again. After a 2 weeks got a #### rock chip right in eye view less then 1/2 inch but man does it drive me nuts. Ha Ha This year needs to end........

If the damage is still just a chip, they might be able to patch it rather than replace it. If you have never seen how they patch windshields, it's worth paying for once, just to see it.

Carry a rock chip repair kit , cheap easy fix . I have 2 chips in mine and it's not noticeable after repair. I also chan both sensor's on my Def system this year . They dont pay enough to run these trucks .

Any Walmart. I think it was $9? Literally took 10 minutes in the parking lot. 734A8CD8-9EF6-4FCE-B001-71761402AE59.jpeg 5D83CBCC-D823-4E88-9563-8BEB1008BC53.jpeg

Yeah I plan on a patch. Very familiar with this work as I used to be a manager for a fabrication shop for many years.I think it may have a warranty as well just need to some time to take care of it.

Good deal. Did not know they sold it. I have the stuff to fix at home if need be as well. Just have to make it back with a few extra minutes and truck not in the shop. Ha Ha I think I will stop at Walmart on way back this weekend and do it.

    Yes

doesn’t really matter the brand in this case but that’s what was on the shelf.

my guess is any of the Napa, autozone or orilies would have something similar?
