Last two weeks I spend more time on the phone than running $1.60 a mile out the south and $1.80 going south that's crazy I'm parked now looking for a load and there is 632 loads within 50 miles the same loads a few months back I was getting 750 today paying 500 on 260 miles what's going on
Last week in Akron,oh I was talking to a few drivers and they are seeing the same thing brokers droping the rates I get the same money out my customers year round so they can lie to someone else

I'm averaging $3.75 mile to the truck so far this month (only 2 OS loads) and all have been over 400 mile trips. I'm running out of the Chicago area

Now texas is a wasteland, just like Florida. I won't even go to Dallas for less than $4 mile, and I have an agent I can reload for that gets me up to STL for a decent rate as well. I just prefer to stay out of the south all together.

Usually, YES. For instance I have a run from Chicago to KC paying me $1,850 (after LS cut) and then right back out of KC to Milwaukee for another $1,500 to me.

I have gotten stuck down in H-Town a few times this year and I honestly do not know how you guys are staying aflot down there. Every load i saw on the board was about $1.50 mile going north and you know the mexican's were taking them..

I am leased to a company and am paid 80% gross yet I am pulling freight out of Florida for over $2.00 per mile to the truck. I have been pulling freight out of Alabama, Indiana and Louisiana for over $2.00 to the truck also. I have been told by some that load boards are left overs. However, I really don't know as I have not lived by load boards.

Called about a load I had hauled before well over 2.00 a mile now it was
1.40 mile. Someone getting the money the landstar agent said he had to lower prices. Yeah right. I have hauled out of same place for CHR and it was even better money.

I don't mind going to California of the rate out there will cover my deadhead back to Kingman, AZ. I also have seen quite a few 10' wide loads coming out of Oakland area paying very well.

Like I said, the only way you will get me into TX these days is if it's paying enough for me to justify a $2 mile load back to Chicago. And even then it will have to be under 30,000#

Haven't seen many over 2.00 mile loads this week when I called.
Lots of 1.50-1.60 mile stuff, ltl's and partials as they call them.
Last months full loads have turned into this weeks partials explain that?
Not much use in dialing the phone today. They think tarping is free?
If cheap freight was a sheit sandwich they'd be lotsa folks with bad breath, these loads jump off the board of late.
