(Florida)Thinking about getting a CDL can I get a local home everyday route?

Some of us aren't cut out for local work. Nothing wrong with those that hate OTR, but some of us can't stand being locked in to one zip code.

 

If you’re close to Pensacola or Ebro, Lewis Bear will hire you right out of school. They have tuition reimbursement and offer different schedules including one where you work 4 days a week.

 

Most home daily jobs are usually 10-12 hours per day, and new guys doing them usually are required to start on night shift. Many day shift driving jobs start around 5 or 6 am.

  • Local CDL Delivery Driver Trainee - No CDL permit required for hire! Assigned to an experienced driver trainer/mentor to learn the basics of pre-trips, maneuverability, and backing. Our driver mentors will help trainees prepare for and obtain a permit, then spend at least 200 hours behind the wheel to build their knowledge of commercial driving regulations and overall driving skills. At the end of the training program, trainees will be required to pass the CDL exam and will then be immediately promoted to one of three CDL driver positions.

I'm doing the applications when I can, but haven't had much luck getting in the door with local jobs. All the leads so far are appreciated, and any more will be appreciated.
