Also, your Qualcomm keeps track of your daily hours,if you don't wanna trip plan at least look at your hrs a couple times a day and see how many available hrs you have left for that day.

I wouldn't call pulling in late at night and illegally parking trip planning. More like wishful thinking driving until your clock runs out and parking wherever.
As others have pointed out they grab the closest spot despite lots of parking available. Always see it and we will continue to see it, too many people out here don't care to do things right.
It is done by all types of drivers, owners, lease, megas, fat, skinny, it's a character issue. Not gonna change just do what you do and let the slob's be !

    That's good advice.

I will take a log violation before I will park on a ramp.

I have parked on ramps before but you need to use common since before just parking on any ole ramp.It was very rarely though I chose a ramp over a trkstp.

I can't sleep even a little with trucks and cars blowing by at 70 MPH, only 70-100 feet away every 20 seconds. Screw that.

Never mind the other tired drivers who decide to take that same ramp with mirrors passing within 4 feet [or even less] of each other.

I'm trying to figure this out, are we not professionals and deal with problems like parking as professionals?

Just because someone has a professional title does not mean that they are, in fact, professional.

    Not parking, but fueling...
At the Pilot in north Toledo I sometime fuel. First 4 pumps are 3 trucks deep, but if one drives around the lot to the last three pumps they usally have no one in them. I just shake my head, and wonder at some people. All I can guess is they see the line a get in it without going to look and see if something better is available.

I agree, I like them open outer fuel islands to, generally open, only problem I have is a driver dude coming over to see my pink hat,and conversation...lol...but it's okay, just one driver leads to another ....I tried no perfume and we'll that doesn't always work either....lol...I ain't gonna dress like no dude, oh well is what it is....I did have a nice conversation when cleaning my windows wit a short lil driver from Texas...okay back to the parkin

That goes back to about the 80's Its Illegal to park anywhere on the interstate system. People have died under the decap bar of the trailer while the trucker was asleep. As in many people.

I used to sleep wondering if a family will die tonight. Not anymore.

The Police will bother you and tell you to move along. Essentially evicting you.

Off the US Interstate system there are still places you can pull off, make room for 20 of your friends that will be pulling in and go to bed. No worries.
