    I have had free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's in Vermont. I have received free cookies from a receiver near Annapolis Maryland. Today I got one that beats them all. I picked up at the Coleman company in Wichita Kansas and they gave me a small propane grill.

    What kind of free stuff is everybody else been getting?

    Ive heard good stories over the radio at truck stops with reefer drivers having smalls claims on load (crushed boxes, etc) and offering up perishables that were still safe. Got a few pounds of bacon one day like that ( driver showed bills to one's taking up his offer)

    As far as damaged goods goes I've had candy bars and bacon and chicken legs yogurt and stuff like that but this one was actually given to me by the guard at the guard shack on the way out of the shipper

    When i did reefer i got all kinds of stuff that was rejected like several cases of choclate candy, tv dinners, yogurt, and went to pick up at a cheese cake factory and they gave me a cheescake.

    Parked next to a JB hunt truck one day and the driver was hand unloading 20-30 cases of salsa in the parking lot.
    6 bottles of salsa in each case? Something like that.

    He was supposedly instructed to "throw it away". I watched this guy walk up to every truck in the lot and hand drivers all the salsa they'd take lol
    I do admire him for doing his best not to be wasteful.
