They’ll install the wet kit in their shop.

Wet kit and a way to pin/block the 5th wheel

You’ll want a light setup if possible, preferably mid roof because someplace’s you’ll go, silos and things of this nature would struggle to accommodate a condo. A lot of them boys run “look at me” trucks, and good for them, they’ve probably earned it, but an honest hard working truck would probably suit you well to get started, any questions, ask.

I made the move from tanker to dump...I lasted 3 months and ran straight back to tanker first chance I had. There was nothing wrong with dumps and maybe it was my area (Chicago), but I ended up not liking the work. I never minded the work, but I hated scrap.

@ChicagoJohn I hate scrap as well, haven’t hauled it for years and refuse to haul it, so don’t feel bad. I can’t stand to watch my trailer get beat to hell, and I dang sure can’t stand having to walk it to bow my trailer back up, and did I mention the wonderful dumping experience on the other end, that leaves a lot to be desired as well.

Another vote not to do scrap. Scrap yards where i used to do it were all mafia owned/operated. Nothing but scamming, broken scales, slow and stupid workers, etc. meanwhile your equipment gets trashed and endless flat tires.
I did scrap as a company driver, hated the few weeks i did it.Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
Scrap or landfills, take your pick
