Siverdrifter, you sound like someone that could do wonders with the Burton Stove n Go. It's basically a 12v cooking box. I have one that I use for heating up simple dishes I brought from home. Somewhere I have a cookbook that a trucker wrote on actually cooking dishes from scratch using the Burton Stove. It's a handy tool to have on the truck.

Lol, so you are getting you brother-in-law to ride the bus instead of you. I guess that's a plan if he's willing.

Food won't keep five days if the maid doesn't eat it first. Frozen food will thaw in 24 hours.

I bought a great Emerson dorm fridge at Target on sale for $129... normally $189. It used 150 watts to start up and cruised on 70 watts. They don't use much. But I had to remove a cabinet panel to make it fit. They are about one inch too wide for a truck cabinet.

A microwave on the other hand is a wattage hog. You need an inverter twice the wattage of the microwave. I had a 700 watt GE and a 2500 watt inverter but you can get by with a 1500 watt inverter.

Them luxuries can wait. You'll be riding with a trainer and you'll be lucky to get one shelf and what you can put by your feet.

I'd be more concerned about having a sleeping bag and pillow along with at least a week of clothes.

the microwave is just something for me to use while at the hotel not in the truck I understand when I'm out with a trainer I cant take much just clothes now when all the training is over and I get my own truck I would like too put a small frig or electric cooler and something to heat up food with then the only electronics I plan on using in my truck when I get one would be a frig something to heat up food my laptop charging my phone and maybe an alarm clock nothing else

and I have keep leftovers in the frig at home for a week and half before and eat it with no problems I just thought as long as I keep it around 40 degrees it wouldn't spoil just like in a frig I have a cooler that holds ice up to 4 days I plan on keeping the food covered with ice I also know I will have to talk to the trucking company about what types of frig and microwaves I can put in there truck when the recruiter came to my school he said they would let u put things like that in it
