yeah, but be sure when you use your mac 22 and say weather, that there is really weather in the area. Dont take a DM/Planner/CSR but 5 seconds and a couple clicks of the mouse, to ping your location, and then look on www.weather.com, to see if there is any weather in your area. If you say "weather", and the road is closed 200 miles down the road....yeah, you're going to get dinged.

I got lazy and saw that many of my permits had expired. My mentor said what? Oh yeah! Check your book every month! I have one that expires 1/31/11. They didn't have it in New Boston. They had me come behind the counter and get every thing I needed.

Each expired permit is a hefty fine!

My partner's truck is showing the 10 IFTA sticker. I asked him why he didn't have the 11 yet. He said his registration isn't due til March so it's still good to go. I thought the new IFTA sticker had to be displayed in January every year... learn something new every day....

He sounds like a real tool. February 1 you better have it. Or you get an out of service. My new one expires 12/31/11. What the heck is his problem with getting the new sticker? Trying to save money? There is a grace period, not sure.

Why attract attention to yourself at the scale house? AZ asked for mine and insurance and registration rolling by the window.

you were right scottie----about the ifta----iirc you can put it on early--but the old one has to be there as well
mind you i cant stand trucks with the last 8 yrs of ifta stickers on them--or where it looks like somebody took the old sticker off with a chain saw

Some states haven't issued IFTA stickers yet. You have until the last day in Febuary to have them on your truck. On March 1st, if you don't have them, then you will be scrutinized by DOT & parked with a big fine.

IFTA is not based off of your registration. IFTA expires every year on 12/31. But like I said before, some states are late to the ball game. So DOT normally issues a 2 month grace period. BUT..... If they have been issued to your company, then you best have them on your truck ASAP.

Who says they can't? I place mine over the old sticker every year.

REDD, its real easy to find out where. just turn the sticker over and read the back. right next to "dont apply sticker when temps are 40 or below"

Swift has already issued the new IFTA stickers and wants them displayed by Jan 31. Your co-driver is just being lazy. (What? A lazy truck driver?? Say it ain't so!) Better go through that permit book and see what else is out dated. Sheesh.

I peeled my old ones off and put the new ones on my wing windows. Next year, I will razor them off and replace them with the new ones. Redd is right. They all expire at the end of the year. Most states give a grace period until the end of January, but why take the chance? Just put 'em on and be done with it.

    Don't be a :tool:

Does it cost money to get the IFTA sticker? If so that may be why he is waiting, I think he's pretty broke from not having any successful students in the last 7 months.
