First impression whole smokes batman is it thick n bulky. Second like the power pug with camera and external speaker hookup. Still a memory hog unit is at 75% capacity not good. I transfered my favorites over from my 465 but can't find the favorites folder. Did update with my own poi files. Did I mention its huge.

The 770 is virtually double the size of the 465, so yeah, am sure it sticks out sitting on the dash.
When traffic slows & another truck is beside me, I can almost reading what some of the 7" nav systems have on display. :)
Will probably go with the 570 here if or when it is available.

My 465 is now restarting going down the road. Screen goes dark, looks like it goes to update mode & starts up again. It has never done that in the previous years.

So was on Garmins site & noticed the 770 had their HD traffic. Is it worth it or annoying add on?
The 5" screen would me more than enough for me, but just asking before purchase if it is worth the extra $100.

[h=3]The Best of Our Traffic Solutions[/h]HD Digital Traffic² is our best traffic solution. HD Digital Traffic receives updates up to every 30 seconds, making it up to 10 times faster than other traffic systems. That means, driving 60 mph, your dēzl 770LMTHD can receive traffic messages up to every half-mile. On the road, a few seconds’ notice can save minutes or even hours of delay. HD Digital Traffic can tell you how many minutes of delay to expect and if there are any possible detours. It can even confirm whether or not you are on the fastest route. HD Digital Traffic has a greater coverage area to include interstates, highways and secondary roads – in fact, up to 3 times more side road coverage.
In addition to traffic information, dēzl 770LMTHD receives free HD Weather, including current temperature and 6-day forecasts (free software update may be required).

I used regular analog traffic stock cord for a long time and upgraded to the digital cord (HD traffic) and there is significant improvement in update frequency and speed. I recommend the upgrade (I got mine on Amazon). It's worth the money IMO. It's not perfect traffic as some other options and you still can't rely on it 100%, but the information will be much more current then the older analog data was, and will update much quicker after initially turning on if your in range. I always verify with Google Maps Traffic, regardless.

I'll post my thoughts tonight coming from a 465 to the 770. Been 2 weeks and I'm really liking it. The traffic is worth it. I did buy all 3 apps also.

So let's see 14 days with the 770 what do I think. Well I last bought a GPS in 2009 when Garmin released the 465T a 4inch gps unit that was around $500. Didn't have any issues. Fast forward to 2015 finally got a new unit. Picked up the Dezl 770HD. First thing u do is plug into your PC to register and update it. Painless procedure not like the RM units. While your at go to poifactory.com and DL your custom poi truck stops, walmarts, rest areas, scales etc. There files are more up to date. Another painless feature. DL garmins poi loader put each poi file into a folder and poof your done.
Know I'm not used to the 770 way of announcing poi on 465 it would pop up on map interface and u seen it. On 770 it beeps and a banner swings out then disappears. I'm adjusting. Routing is fine like all manufacturers it goes by what states have posted. Screen oh my god I love it, crisp, clear, vibrant even in sun. Makes 465 look old. Touch screen is nice and simple swipe scroll etc. Even has voice input. Pretty sensitive and works fine. The power mount has plugs for rear camera and external speaker. Much nicer then my 465. Updating is a micro USB cord which is nice. Power cord is still usb mini I think that's what it's called. Traffic is nice seems more reliable them 465. I've also purchased all the apps weather, better traffic and traffic cams. The size is nice for junction view. Garmins real speak is nice and clear. Not sure what else I can say. But I'm glad I waited. It might not b a huge upgrade for folks who have the 760 but older drivers with older units will love the upgrade.

Does your phone have to be connected to the unit via BT in order for the apps to work? I have had mine about 2 weeks too. I just have not had a chance to get home and update it on my computer. But I do love the GPS and I am coming from the 760. The screen is amazing. In the bottom right-hand corner where you press that little icon that has three lines, do you have something in there called trip data?
