Keep pizza boxes from the t/s, shat in them in the sleeper, never have to leave sleeper, then when you leave in the morning, put the box on the catwalk before you leave and let the wind do the rest, just like a real fingerless leather glove flip flopper!
-
Or if you pull a bullwagon, then who cares how the book looks, and you pull your toilet behind you!

That’s what piss jugs are for.

I've done it many times, 34 hours sleeper berth. Never been asked about it though. I kept the curtains covering the windows closed the whole time. Sure I went inside the truckstop and ate, but didn't log it. If I'd been questioned, would have said I ate in the sleeper and peed in a bottle and didn't have to do anything else.
The sleeper berth starts right behind the drivers seat, so it's no ones business if you were in the bunk or not. -
The problem comes within the next 6 months (carrier keeps your RODs that long) and if someone in that time ends up dead either your fault or their fault, their lawyer will have access to those RODs and your financial statements and will be able to see where you swiped your ATM card while logged sleeper and boom, multi-million dollar civil lawsuit payouts going out to the lawyer and their client even if it wasn't your fault, the falsifying of a federal document is a very serious thing.
Not picking on you Chinatown, just saying all this is defined in the green book and believe it when a lawyer is using that book as ammunition in court, will drop nuclear bombs on a driver who doesn't live and work perfectly according to the book as written. -
True. I keep enough cash I don't have to use the ATM or credit card much anyway, and certainly wouldn't use it while logged sleeper berth.
I understand what you're posting about though.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Don't forget to remove the screen on the sleeper berth vent window.

You know what the largest problem I have with this topic? The FMCSA does not care where or how you spend that 10 or 34 just as long as you take it. I will always regard tall tales of DOT cops being worried or concerned about a dang pee break while in a sleeper when I see an actual ticket and properly filled out inspection form. Till then this is pure crap right off the dang barn floor.
Truckermania Thanks this. -
Don't be concerned about DOT officers; assume anything you do a litigation lawyer is watching and taking notes.
