Trucking is stressful A or B its the nature of the beast. How one handles stress is a different story my relatives drove themselves to drinking one my closer relatives towards the end of there life the only way start your day was a tall glass with 90% vodka and 10% grapefruit juice and then he would drive and had another drink later in the day and he bought the cheapest vodka too. I had one relative prefer a straight bottle of Jack Daniels. I am not against drinking because almost every weekend me and my buds do it every weekend but my relatives drove themselves into an early grave I give credit one died late compared doctors said should died long before he actually died and he smoked 5 packs a day since he was 11 and drank till died at 65.

help from who same people saying let it all out ? How we end up with bad things happening a lot, these bad incidents they talked to people, warning signs happened on social media, and family members knew, but because no one wants to say anything, or so-called judge or label someone, they get a pass. 20 or 30 years ago, help might have been good; nowadays, the help isn't so good. It's telling them it is okay to let your emotions out, and that leads to bad things. had a relative go see someone and that's what they told them to do so the help are a bunch of quacks now you are better off getting those special gummies as long you are not driving, but sometimes you need to know what's truly important, your health...

I never worked class B. Some cities have bad enough local traffic I wouldn't want to be in it every day. You have to judge what you can put up with.

OTR is a dream job compared to any city driving, Class-A or Class-B.

I went to a 3-week, for-profit CDL school. That's how it worked there. 3 weeks, test, pass or fail. I think you could pay extra for additional training.

My school I started behind the wheel on a Tuesday and had my CDL in hand 8 days later. As did most everyone there at the time.

OP talks about investing time. CDL Schools is probably the least amount of time invested compared to other Careers. The big surprise comes after you start Trucking. The time invested to earn a decent living is much more than other types of work. Maybe consider another Career. HVAC for instance. Make 50% more money for 75% of your time. Plumbers can make a killing. Pretty easily learned. Drivers are a dime a dozen, despite the rhetoric. Plenty of jobs, sure. Because nobody wants to do it.

How?! Did you have experience beforehand? A big part of the problem is the laid-back nature of my school. It's hard to get done what needs to be done. I've been there everyday, on time and ready to learn. But it has taken until the last week for me to get to parallel parking. That's my final step before testing. It's been like pulling teeth learning this stuff. I don't know how it seems to come so natural to others.
