Getting out of jury duty

    I got summoned to appear for jury duty. I mean I can tell if someone’s guilty just by looking at him but I dont want to miss a week of work to do it. Anyone here heard of truckers getting out of jury duty?

    I was unable to get out of it in March. It was a medical malpractice case. There was a man in the jury pool who said that he was opposed to medical malpractice lawsuits of general principle because they discourage people from becoming doctors. He got out of serving.

    Tell them you're absolutely willing to serve on the jury... But you are worried that the other jurors might not appreciate your nudist wardrobe, and that if appropriate measures are taken to accommodate you and your attire you will be there.

    There’s a way to alleviate this issue and make it go away completely.

    The jurisdiction in question should have to come up with 8 hours pay at your regular wage. Maybe then those of us who aren’t salary and actually have to earn our paychecks might not be so averse to our “civic duties”.

    But I’m sure the two aforementioned individuals would have a problem with that too.
