Getting sick from fumes and being forced to drive

I can tell you from experience you are not crazy the crank case fumes from that oil are absolutely noxious.
Change the oil to something like valvoline and your problem will be gone.

 

Get a company that runs with newer trucks....or end up dead at that one!

Crankcase fumes are laden with toxins , nasty toxins including high levels of Carbon Monoxide which can make you permanently go to Sleep some night if you idle!!

 

The thing is, no one can force you to do anything.
Haven't you learned that by now?
You are an adult, a free agent. You can do as you please.

There may be some consequences to your choices, but you can not be forced into any action that you don't want to take.

All it takes is saying... NO!!!

 

I would refuse to drive it except to the closest open DOT inspection ..

I would start with a simple fix that could be agreeable to both boss and employee and that would be to change the brand of oil used and get away from the smelly rottela and go from there.

 

Changing the oil won't do it though. That blowby is NASTY smelling. And you CAN'T get rid of that smell.
