I think my foot might be in the door.....This morning I receive an EXTREMELY RARE phone call from Polys recruiting department. The lady I won't mention her name said that my app that I faxed on July 3rd was waitng on previous employment verification, I said Crete must be dragging there feet.....she said no they had all ready received verification from Crete it was Stevens that they were waiting on. She went on to say that orientation was 3 days and covered other area's that I was curious about. I will keep my fingers crossed....It is time for me to move on hopefully.

Good news! I didn't have to wait till 1900 today to get unloaded at the Home Depot DC in Houston. Found out yesterday morning, after getting load picked up, that we have drop trailers there, & can drop anytime up to 14 hours before appointment time.

Once I received that piece of info I contacted backhaul dispatch & asked for a load out of our Mont Belvieu location going to Henderson,NV so I could pass thru the house for the night.

So here I am sitting in my living room instead of being unloaded in Houston. Plus I'm on a nice productive run, & will probably get another productive run to WA on Friday morning out of Henderson.

While at dinner with my wife last night, I received a call from back haul with my load information. I will be picking up down in the Nashville area Friday once I'm done with my hometime and taking my load back to the yard at GP. I am so glad to get this load so I can get back down to the yard and get back into MY truck! Whoever had my loaner truck must have been a chain smoker. That smell just makes me ill.

I'm a smoker but I don't blame you one bit for being disgusted with it. People get into my truck and immediately assume it's a non-smoking truck. I just roll the window down while smoking and air it out when I am done, plus I don't chain smoke. I see lot's of these guys smoking with the windows up. Cannot for the life of me figure out why they do that but those are the ones that are flat out nasty. I can't even stand to be in those trucks.

Can you tell me how their Medical Insurance is. Is it like a Blue Cross PPO Plan. You can correct me but I heard Poly has a self insured plan.

Yes they are self insured with a 3rd party administrator. The plan does utilize "Contracted Plan Providers", which is similar to a PPO. For a family of 4 the medical coverage is $110 per week, dental is $29 per week, and they utilize co-pays. Other than that I can't tell you much else.

On Thursday afternoon while in route to deliver at our facility in Henderson,NV I got a dispatch to pick up there Friday morning going to Blaine,WA. I will deliver tomorrow (Sunday) at 1500. Well need a restart once I make delivery. 3600 in seven days & a night at the house. I can live with that.

Also, I decided to go thru Salt Lake City instead of up US93 so I could catch a minor league baseball game. The SLC Bees ballpark is two blocks from the downtown Lowes. You can park your truck at the back of the store & walk to the park. I've done this numerous times over the years in SLC & never a problem.
