Well all is well in San Antonio except having to unload here at H.E.B.:) Been here about 1.5 hours and no love on movement in the trailer. In better news already hooked up with 3 preplans after I get out of here. Rolling over to Mont Belvieu, TX to pick up a load going to Grand Prairie then heading out of GP back to Loveland, CO and then picking up another load of beans out of Ovid, CO heading back to San Antonio for Wednesday noonish next week.

I feel your pain, I was there on Monday from 6pm til midnight waiting to get into a door to deliver the one pallet I had on the trailer.

Ha, Harold E. Butts will never change! Remember fun places like Bruno's and Fleming Foods? I have to say that, for the most part, it is a lot better than 10 or 15 years ago. Who'd have ever thought Walmart would say 2 hours max...and usually stick by that! But HEB just stinks!

I drive for Swift but I got sent over to Poly in Grand Prairie TX to pick up a load the other night. WOW, for a trucking company, I thought I was going into a government facility. Smooth concrete everywhere, state of the art scales entry and exit. Very nice guards. I told them I have a dog, they told me to just drop the trailer and bobtail out, I went to dinner down the road and they called me within the hour to tell me it was loaded. Oh and they do have huge banners on the buildings Hiring OTR Drivers

They are always accepting applications, but not always hiring. Poly operates about a 300 truck fleet & turnover is low. You do live in an area from which they will hire a driver. Feel free to submit an application & then be patient while reading this entire thread to answer your questions. Good luck.

Been sitting at the Pilot in Madeira CA reading the entire thread. You guys that have posted are doing Poly a great service and hopefully, you will be recognized some sort of way. I want to thank you all for being so honest about the good AND the bad (or what little there is) at Poly. Still hoping for a call for the face-to-face interview this week and hoping to be in a red truck (did I mention I've been with Crete and Shaffer 3 different times) by the end of the month. Well, I'm only half through the thread so back at it!

    BigJon310 and jdrentzjr Thank this.

Made it all the way through the thread! Had to laugh at the post about the Poly and Crete truck parked next to each other at a truck stop. Probably wouldn't be hard to find the Poly driver...he's the one smiling like "Bob" on the Enzite commercials...and for good reason! Going to be on home time next weekend so hoping I get a call for the personal interview this week if HR so chooses. If not, well, I'll have to do like Gunnery Sgt Highway inspired his platoon on "Heartbreak Ridge", "Improvise, Adapt, Overcome". The one thing to plan on when planning to make a change is the plan changing! Hey, I want to smile, too, for a change! C'ya.
