The easiest way to overcome frustration in times like these is to keep an old Crete pay stub close at hand...when things get frustrating, you look at the old pay stub and remember what real frustration was really like when you were here.. I was offered a load from there last Friday(from Crete's load guessers) but after reading some of your posts about the place,(Del Monte I mean) it made me glad I didn't have the hours to pick it up.

Or get a osd vlaim at nite or wknd and just try to get ahold of sumbody or get em to call u back. Zero accountability pat hernandez to jesse raia. Dont flatter urself thinking ur first on list for outbound unless ur lee hennesy.

You sound frustrated for sure. Justin can be a pain. Get Jason and John's numbers so you don't have to deal with him as much. Pat isn't the route to go with him most times. Justin doesn't really act as if he cares anyway. I have fealt your pain with him from time to time. He's not concerned nearly enough with a lot of things. I just avoid him as much as possible and that helps. Just hang in there. He's to lazy to be involved with that many of your BackHauls anyway. Good luck with it and take care out there.

My husband had the same thing. He applied in December and didn't get a call until the end of February. He did the interview on the phone and went for in person interview, took the physical and drug screen and passed of course and never heard another word out of them.

I kinda get the feeling that I dodged a bullet by not getting on here.. I have a good job and good income but would like better home time. I know some of the guys here are doing well but my gutt tells me not all is as it seems. I had what seemed to be the perfect job once before only to have management make serious changes after a couple of years which destroyed the company and it is no longer in business. Not to say that is going to happen here but as a company grows changes will follow. Have experienced it too often. I am sure I am not going to be called here for some reason and I don't believe it has anything to do with my qualifications. Just as well.. good luck to all and if you need to move on Gordon may not be the best company in the world but it is OK and I have always made good money here for the last four years. Poly is the only other company I have considered going to AS A a solo driver.

I've stated in previous posts that POLY is not perfect, & have stated the reasons why. Just like any other company, it is not for everyone. I can assure you those of us who currently work at Poly & post on this thread have been truthful. ( I stake my testimony as a Christian I've been truthful)

For some, not getting a call back from HR may indeed be a blessing in disguise, but don't belittle the company when this happens. Just be thankful & move on.

I have been driving for approx. 13 years. At this point I just want the miles and the pay and good insurance. Seems like a lot of companies tell you what you want to hear to get you in the door and then BAM you find out about the lies.

At Poly what is the health insurance like? Is there a deductible, if so how much? Co-pays?
Also, I live in Ohio. Do they hire out of Ohio?

Much thanks for any and all responses.

This comment is so true. I started driving for Foodliner, out of Dubuque, IA back in late 2005. I was running out of the Langhorne, PA. Terminal. In the end of 2005, and through 2006, into mid 2007, Foodliner was the absolute, hands down, best company I had ever worked for. I worked hard, but got paid very well. As time went on, the faces at the corporate level changed little by little. As those faces changed, things started a slow, steady downward trend. Then they hired a Schmuck to run the Newark, DE. terminal, and it was the death-blow to a once great position.

It was so sad to see a great company, get hollowed out from the inside, and turn into a glorified J.B. Hunt operation. So as far as what you said, all I can say is "Been there myself"

Poly trucking made me a great offer once. When I called and asked a few details, they said they would get back to me later that day. I never got any contact from them after that.

Check post #850 of this thread for medical info. Ohio is a good location for hiring.
