Like Majestyk said, as long as you don't go more that 10% out of route ( figured by Google maps door to door) you are left to plan your own routes. No babysitting via QComm. Again, the only exception to the 10% rule is winter driving from Henderson to WA. Plus the 10% is for the entire trip, i.e. GP to east coast back to GP. Or any other trip starting/ ending in GP. So one leg of the trip could be longer than 10% & the other leg shorter. All these details should be covered in orientation.

10%???? Holy cow. I won't know how to act. My OOR over here in Happy Valley is 3 - 4% over their practicle route. The more I hear about how much better Poly does stuff, the harder I kick myself for not coming over sooner.

You've just turned more miles in 11ish months and had more time off than I had all of last year over here at Crete(and probably w/less hassle and disagreement w/dispatch)... C'mon orientation... I can hardly wait.

Which LaQuinta do they use. Adam said it's actually in Arlington, but the hotel website pull up several. There's 1 by 6-flags and another down by I-20.

It's the one at Six Flags. I believe you are going to love the freedom on loads compared to how Crete does things. Once you choose your outbound load everything is on you. No dispatcher, AM or FM to deal with. Some time just before or shortly after you deliver you'll get a call from BackHaul with your next load basic information. From there you'll deal with a broker until that load is done. Your days of being managed and sending tons of messages on the QualComm are over once getting here at Poly. You'll post far more messages on here than you'll ever send on that thing. It's a major change in that department. You will be much more left alone to handle things. No baby sitting here at Poly. I believe you will love the change. Can't wait to hear some of your future comments about it. There IS a huge difference in the way Poly treats you compared to Crete. I believe you'll love the change.

It rained for 5 minutes and a couple seconds later firetrucks and an ambulance rolled by. Gotta love vacation drivers.

I'm assuming depends on which is youe homw terminal. For me yes. Depends on the area you go to. Like majority loads to Michigan, chicago area . Those normally backhauls you to unp.

Met a great Poly driver out here at exit 16 off I 90 in Montana asked if I could by him lunch while I interrogated him 2hours later I was more sure than ever that Poly is the place I need to be.
