It's better to think of it as GP is the biggest and most busy of Poly's facilities. That means more trips(loads) are started from GP. BackHaul's are usually done to get driver's back to one of the Poly facilities. That means if you take loads out to certain areas then you'll most likely get a BackHaul taking you to the facility set up to handle drivers from that area. It 's a learning experience and there isn't always a set rule on what you'll get. You just learn what areas go where. I also wouldn't say you really have a Home terminal. Obviously if you live closer to one facility you could THINK of it as the facility to get out and back home with maybe. Your location is an interesting one. You are probably closer to the Cottage Grove facility but since most Michigan loads BackHaul to GP then you'll most likely go there more often. Hope that helps shed some light on your questions. A little of this information is covered in Orientation and is better learned once you've been here a couple months.

Anybody happen to have that Glen Falls salt paper available about how they want the pallets? Can't find mine (need to organize) and I get a feeling I might be headed up there tomorrow. Thanks.

Has anyone ever bent the steps on top of the chain box on a international before?... I'm still trying to figure out how I bent mine.

If you make a turn on very uneven terrain, the front corner of the trailer can come down and bend a catwalk and could possibly be what damaged your chain box.

Well had one of those smoky and the bandit runs today. Got a late call from backhaul about picking up in Linden, NJ. A 190 ish mile run into the heart of the abyss with only 3.5 hours to cover it. All things had to line up well which they did and I ambled in on time. Made it down to the FJ past Elkton. Heading to Cartersville, GA for a Thursday morning delivery. Last 7 days a little over 3400 miles with 12 hours still left to burn tomorrow:)

Poly is the only company I'm actually hesitant to apply to. From all the things I've read, they sound like one of the very best. Realistically, I have to admit I am not really cream of the crop material. It takes a lot for a company to garner that type of respect. I applaud everyone that made it and those that tried.

I finally decided to run up into the Northeast with this 5 stop load. My first stop is the Walmart in Marcy, NY. Does anyone on here know if there's any truck parking close to that Walmart? Thanks for any information you can provide about it.

I know it was mentioned somewhere in this thread, but how long after submitting my app should I wait to call/email about it?

There use to be a fuel stop just after you exit the thruway...but I went by there a few weeks ago, and the truck parking spots(there were only a half dozen) were blocked off. The only other parking is either a service plaza, or the Peelot over 1 exit south of where the toll road crosses I-81. If you're not on the Thruway...there are a few small truck stops coming up I-81 long before you get to the Syracuse area.
