I never had the chance. Faxed off my app on a Monday around noon, by that Wednesday morning, the HR department had me on the phone.

I read somewhere on here what the orientation pay was, but for the life of me, I can't find it, and neither could the thread search...could someone re-post how much they pay. I will be flying in on the16th for my orientation. And do they pay it like a paycheck or pay like Crete does and pay by Com check? I am so looking forward to putting my Crete years behind me and looking forward to being a Poly driver.

I believe its 27 (7-4 each day) hours @ 12.50. Paid direct deposit or however you chose to receive your payroll.

Wish I remembered right where those extra truck parking areas along the Thruway were. Was just down that road a few days ago and I do believe there was a couple in that general area, otherwise that Pilot on I-81 might be your best bet.

Putting in a reset here at the yard. Leaving out Sunday on the way to Henderson and then rolling up to Blaine so should be some good miles in the next few days. Put the old Volvo on the list for her PM along with some other things that need fixed. Hopefully a week and a half will be enough time to get them all fixed.

Hey thanks, SuperSnackBar and Majestyk. There is a service plaza on the through way that's pretty close. However, I found a little spot even closer just off the through way. Only room for about 6 or 8 trucks but works out nicely for what I needed. My 2nd and 3rd stops are the Targets in Amsterdam and Wilton, NY. I've been to the Wilton Target so I know about how it works. Drop trailer in door and can bobtail out. Anyone know the scoop on the Amsterdam Target? Any parking close and so on? All information is appreciated. Thanks again for the info.

That might be the place I saw with the blocked off spots...maybe they were just repaving the lot when I went by. It's the fuel stop on the Indian Res, just down the road from the casino. I use to buy my fuel there when I was an O/O....on the Res, it was tax free.

If you want to get out of most Targets within an hour or two, ask if you can assist with unload. otherwise you may be there up to six hours for just a few pallets.

I could deliver a day early if they would take it. I'm finished at the Walmart and that Target is only like 65 miles from the Walmart. Hate waiting until tomorrow for just a few pallets. Thanks for the info.
