While we were in HR yesterday doing the medical benefits video's and getting my ID picture, Jerry found out that there are 2 more drivers coming in for orientation next week...now he's in a real fix for trucks since they are having trouble getting me a permanently assigned truck, he is at a loss for what he's going to do with the other 2...There are days that I'm glad I'm not working in an office...well, pretty much every day I'm glad I'm not working in an office now that I think about it.

Welcome aboard Supersnack! Like the others have said, getting a good truck can be difficult in the beginning. If I may offer any advise, it would be this... If you have mechanical breakdowns, don't wait to get them fixed at Grand Prairie. Call Fleetnet and get them repaired by a competent mechanic out on the road.
If you ever have any questions feel free to PM me. I don't post on here much anymore, but I will still get PM's.

Well, day 3 in the books...and I still am smiling. I am still impressed by the treatment I've received...it's nice to hear management tell it like they see it and speak their minds. 1st assigned truck has been un-assigned. Now I'm waiting on truck assignment #2...which is in the shop. Fortunately, it has had all but the a/c compressor replaced on it...and they're going to replace that next, and they had 1...just 1 in stock. It should be tomorrow sometime, so Jerry said "sleep in, relax and enjoy a morning off, and call before noon to see if they're going to have it done or not before you check out". Either way, I'll be leaving this weekend with some sort of Poly truck, permanently assigned or loaner. It's refreshing to see people really trying to get things moving, not just going through the motions until quitting time. I think I'm gona love it here!!!!!!

(what's this, multiple post from snackbar....and no complaints to speak of?????? Isn't that one of the signs of the Apocalypse??)

It's a good sign of an Apocalypse if ever there was one(HeHe)! I'm enjoying your words over here at Poly World! Sounds like your approach has been top notch with it all so far. The truck hurdle is unfortunate yet, things will come around. You will appreciate the difference from Crete in so many ways. So much less stress out here it's really a blessing. Are you planning to run a load home? Should be easy to get you something that way. Even if you had to do a loaner it might work out pretty good. Your BackHaul will most likely take you back to the yard. Give them time to get things fixed. Maybe just run loads back and forth until they get it done for you. Just save some for me this winter. :)

Well, they had me on the board already when I was getting my orientation from Outbound, but since I didn't have a truck for sure, I think I missed it...but when Jerry went through the loads...there were several unassigned loads to all areas of FL...and I heard a statement I haven't heard in a while...they have more loads than drivers.

I'll be in GP late Saturday afternoon till MOnday. No love on a 900 Diff. I think there are dirt races at The Texas Motor Speedway Fri/Sat night, so I may go there Sat. night. Anyone else?

Yea, but the T-bag over at Crete is in TX, and she wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire :biggrin_25513:...it's just nice to have my company treat me right for a change. It will just take me a while to get use to being a part of a company instead of the necessary evil so the suits can get their pay

Well hell. Thought the load I had going back to Sumner was for a Monday morning delivery, turns out it is for Wednesday. So stuck in Vegas for a couple of days, suppose worse places to be stuck in though so I guess I will deal with it and head to the poker tables.
