I'm guessing that with the hacking of this site last week he hasn't had a chance to reset his password yet due to the issues he'd had with previous phones & their internet connections. I too am eagerly awaiting he's account of his time, all be it short, at Poly.

Not yet. So far I have done the San Antonio to Conroe Martin Brower McDonalds account. Empty trailer to Conroe, full one back to San Antonio.

I'm still here, without a smartphone or lack of free WiFi has put a bit of a damper on my posting a bit. While I'm not running my self into the ground, I'm making a better living here then as a Crete stooge. After I turned my truck into the shop for a B service, I missed the weekend outbound loads, so they gave me the use of an old Columbia loaner for a stay at the truck stop. I left out Monday headed back to Jacksonville for Wednesday. Then a LaGrange to Waller, but no love on a back haul from Pol-Tex. Instead, I picked up a Houston to Wills Point for Monday, but they let me 900-same it in GP(for the non-Poly drivers, a 900 is Poly's version of a t'call). 2 of the 4 back hauls I've had have pushed my gross weight right to the limit...if it weren't for the sliding 5th wheel, I wouldn't have made it 'Poly-legal' (Poly insists that you DO NOT exceed 12k, 34k, 34k on the axles even though most states allow you to be over 12k on the steers as long as you don't exceed the equipment's limits) The only problems I've had are equipment. The loaner was a Freightliner...and it rained...it's been 2 years since I've had a Freightliner, so I forgot about needing rain gutters for the windows. So my pillow and my sheet got wet. This weekend while I am waiting to deliver it rained again, and my Prostar's windows POURED water. The side box had a steady stream like someone was peeing. My sheet, pillow, covers, mattress and the wall fabric were wet. So I used some of the free trash bags I got during driver appreciation to line my side of the interior. Although I've only been turning 2500's, with extra stops and hub pay instead of practical miles, I'm still happy I made the switch!!!!! The only regret is that I didn't switch sooner

Stay out time is the same for all drivers. They want you to run a minimum of 8K miles month. You are allowed I think 8 (perhaps 7 I can't remember for sure) business days off in a row (weekends and holidays don't count so you could take up to 11-12 days off in a row if you start on a Thursday or Friday before a weekend).

It's seven business days in a row ( this doesn't include the weekend days ) that a driver can take off without getting any type of approval. I'm currently at home doing just that. Left GP Thursday afternoon after making delivery. I'm on the outbound board for Tuesday October 15th. Told no one, except to put myself on the outbound board. This will be the third time in my two years I've done this. Yes, it's without pay, but that's why I try to stay busy. So I can afford to take advantage of this time off policy at MY CHOOSING.

Did I mention.....I love my job?

It's not perfect, but it fits my expectations & needs.

The only stipulation to home time is that it MUST be done on outbound (or after you deliver your outbound) loads. They don't want home time done under a backhaul load.

My biggest issues so far besides my window leaks have been with comunication with people about proper policy. No one ever said how close I have to get to GP before I get to pick up my next outbound. I just found out this weekend that it's 100-150 miles. Not knowing this has cost me a delay on getting rolling...but I really can't gripe too much...2500 miles a week and so far every weekend off...just not at home. That and getting the shop to make sure they clear my repair orders off the system so security will let me leave. I've had that happen on 2 repairs...including this backhaul 900'd Saturday. It had a 'landing gear broken' report in the system, but nothing was wrong. The only thing I see(and 3 mechanics saw) was a newer landing gear handle and new bolt...and it was written up for repairs in Pol-Tex, but I picked it up at the customer in Waller...so they cleared it and I was on my way.
