Poly will accept applications, but only the HR dept could tell you which area they need drivers. They hire from everywhere but Cali...we're not even allowed to look at the CA pages in our atlas (I'm kidding about that part:biggrin_25517:)

I got out of Waller. Pol-Tex to GP. Got to Pol-Tex and the scale was down. When that happens, it is a PITA, but the repair guy got there just before I headed to the truck stop to CAT scale it. Put in a call to outbound right after I hung up with backhaul, but kept getting voice mail. So after a couple tries, I left a request for something that'll get me back for this weeks meeting, otherwise put me on Saturdays schedule. If they don't find anything I guess I'll talk to Oct-o-man and see if he needs local help for a day or two. Beats sitting on my tush watching tv and swiping my card in the vending machine every 15 min. Maybe it'll help make up for my trailer issues from a week ago...

Well my Dayton load was ready this afternoon so I booked out of GP and made it down to Willis, TX where I will do a 34 and suppose start another drama series since I am caught up with The Walking Dead now:) Delivering Friday morning and supposedly getting a load heading back up to GP so I can catch that Saturday meeting. Got everything moved back into the Red Flash and she is working again like a charm. Looks like this will be my least productive month miles wise but that is ok as if things go like I hope I will still squeak in a shade over 8K miles in 19 days with 11 days at home and make it for Thanksgiving this year.

Truck repairs aren't perfect, but it's something I can live with. The a/c works, but the expansion valve is still noisy. Since I won't be using a/c all that much in the winter...and it's not a DOT issue, I'll live with it. I was only out of my truck for 3 or 4 weeks, but I forgot how much smoother an International rides.

Bright and early this morning outbound calls with a large choice of loads ready after the meeting. Several to MI, a CO, a WI (plus many more). I ended up with a 3 stop starting in Palestine and ending in Midway, GA on Tuesday...which means I will most likely pu in Riceboro headed back this way. A potential 2300 mile week, 4 paid stop plus the hourly pay for the meeting....all in all not a bad week for Thanksgiving.

I'll be at the meeting in the morning, if I can get myself out of be at midnight. I'm in Conroe waiting for midnight when I'll gain 8.5 hours for tomorrow. Only had 3 hours for today, which gave me the exact amount of time I needed to arrive in Conroe for delivery.

I pick up at Pol-Tex going back to GP in the morning. Truck is due for PM & it is showing an active fault. So it needs some TLC from the shop (one can hope). Plus I have a funeral to attend on Monday. So I figured with the funeral to attend, truck in the shop, & Thanksgiving on Thursday, I'll just take the week off & begin again next Saturday. The pocketbook can't really afford it, but YOLO!

I'll be in GP till Sunday morning if anyone is interested in getting together after the meeting.

See you tomorrow bro. Got the old Farmer's Branch load knocked out and debating whether to roll on into the yard or not tonight. Bob tailed it over to the Loves on I-20 but not even much place to park without a trailer here.

That's what I did with the Volvo after being in two different internationals. I just asked Tony and said no problem if that is what I wanted to do. They did quite a bit of work on the old girl so I am hoping they let me keep driving her for a while to recoup their investment.

Nice, thanks. The air is warm in here, temp guage doesn't work, and I think the alternator is going.out. But it runs hella good compared to that prostar I had. I will talk to Tony wwhen I get back.
