Hi everyone , been pretty busy through Jan. and am now at the House until the 31st , so if I can't find time now to say a quick hello to y'all then I'm just full of it ! Haha !! and I might still be , but at least I'm not too full of it to contribute a little to the Poly thread. Hope the Holidays were great for everyone . Mine was work filled to make up for the time off I needed to get right from Thanksgiving to the 11th of Dec. as I got a day home on the 20st and stopped by the house for about 16hrs late the 24th to about 3pm the 25th. Was in Grand prairie early Friday the 27th after dlvring my BH and then was on Shop lock down for a week !
As I'm sure a few of you recall me being there , heck OJ got in & sat a couple days , got a TX ld , and I told him see ya when ya get back ... Sure enough I did ! The leader of that clan , I was told was bragging he has the best shop in the DFW area ! Now if that doesn't get all of you busting a gut , those who don't , need to work on the ol sense of humor ! See Y'all , be safe out there and beware of imposters , what looks like a shop , smells like a shop , and periodically sounds like a shop ... may not be a shop , lol all in fun guys one thing I'll never relinquish is my sense of humor , no matter how dull it is , they can't take it from me it's mine !
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

They finally got my windshield put in. 5 minutes before I was going to go get a Volvo key from Tony(for Majestyk's old truck which is now a loaner) the windshield trucks pulled up. Then, with the cold weather that pushed in, I had to wait for the sealer to dry. Then had to wait for the shop to do the inspection. By that time it was too late to leave and still get 2 10 hr breaks before my Valdosta load delivered. So I caught some zzzzzzz on the yard then rolled. I managed to make it 640 miles, then shut down...will finish the load after midnight. Outbound was kinda nervous about why I hadn't left yet...told them the shop, but fear not...the load will be delivered on time. Fortunately for me my truck passed the inspection...or else the shop is sick of seeing me and just put a sticker on it and sent me away...letting me find out what might be wrong later...either way, I am one day closer to home.

Nothing like being 80 driving minutes from home, but having just 31 mins on your 70. Pfiffle. Oh, well, says I. Do a little MickeyDs wi-fi, clean out the inside of the truck after last weeks snow, and head home in the morning.
Crete is still doing OK by me. I will hit the mileage quota for a raise as of Feb. 7th, and my unit continues to roll right along. Gotta get some new glasses and mop up a few things over the next eight weeks, then maybe.....maybe....if nothing else happens, will be sending in a Poly app. Can't help but feeling that I'd do pretty well there, knowing myself as I think I do! And that would equate to an increase of gross earnings along the line of 17 to 20%.
SSB.....condolences on the loss of your FIL. Glad to know he was also a friend.

Anyone know the best route to the Lowe's in Adairsville, GA?

Not sure how old that sat pic was...I've never been there so I don't know how accurate it still is. -

Each person has been given a conscious. You can practice righteousness or wickedness. It's your way or God's way. Some will have hell to pay. Good day.

Guess I should talk about atheism. Oh, that's right this is a thread about a trucking company we all belong to. Not a prayer group.

I'm bugging you guys again. Was reading through the thread and there are mixed responses to whether or not an applicant should call/email to check on their app. My husband has already heard from HR a few days ago, as our state doesn't allow them to pull the DMV records without approval, but luckily I had just paid a few days before so we would have them, so I emailed them to her right away. She sent an email thanking us, so I know they got them. Right now, we are living on partial unemployment because his current employer is screwing him over...very long story. They are basically trying to get rid of all the senior workers so they can hire new employees for less. Plus, they are retaliating against him because they suspended him and demoted him from a supervisor position for not giving his personal cell phone (yes, you read that right), so he went for unemployment, they appealed and they went to court. My husband won and now they aren't giving him any hours, so we need to find something else ASAP! As a one income family of 5....you can imagine, I'm sure. Poly sounds like the best and safest bet for our family, so we are very eager to get him in there as soon as we can. He's got a clean driving record, 9+ years on his CDL. I know it's luck of the draw, but in your honest opinions, with already hearing from HR about the DMV, is it worth it to call or email to find out if his current employer is screwing things up by not responding, or should we just leave it alone?

I finished my January miles by Wednesday the 22nd. I finished over 11,250. If I counted the miles to Valdosta it would have over 12k, but those will carry over to February. Usually when I start the year off like that I have a good year. I'll be off until February.
