Heartland advertises $.50...for regional in the 'green zone'. Some of the LTL carriers do once you get seniority. But, they can pay $1 a mile, but if you don't get many miles it isn't much of an advantage.

It was a year ago almost. Later they told him they were looking to hire out of a different area. And no, no problems with his drug test. He passed his yearly DOT at Crete at the same time.

There is a parking lot at exit 1 next to the McDonalds that allows parking. Make sure you don't park on the street or you will get ticketed...

Only been there once to pu an MT when I was with Knight. I THINK there is a few spots just outside the gate guard shack. Not positive tho. You'll be a spit away from Rhode Island.

Guess things might be a little slow in GP. Instead of heading that way under a load...they have me headed to Sulphur, LA to pick up going to Brazil, IN. From there I probably will be routed to the UP North plant...which means I won't get this paperwork turned in by their Friday aftrrnoon Fedex cutoff. Thankfully it's tax refund season. However...I am 1500 miles away from a B service, and not likely going near GP...so it looks like I may be doing an oil change on the road....ohhhhh darn.

On the down side, the new windshield pours water...the reason I know it's the windshield...I tried to silicon it...but it didn't dry enough before I hit more rain...and the white silicon(which would dry clear) got wet, and I had white water running in my truck and running down my dash. Took me an hour to scrape all that stuff back off the windshield...too bad Lowes doesn't sell the black automotive window sealer. Guess the silver aluminum tape will have to do until I get it done right.

My husband is in TX now getting his physical, drug screen and face to face interview. :) In fact, he just texted me while waiting for the doctor!
