My husband picked truck #4387, a ProStar Plus. Any word on that truck? He's not going to spend most of his time in the shop, is he? Haha! :)

I think it is 3487. I have a lower numbered truck than his...and I spent a lot of time in the shop at first...now other than being overdue for oil change, my new windshield pouring water and a worsening front end shimmy, mine has been doing better.

Well, Snoqualmie has done me in for the day. I had hoped to get over the mountain before calling it a night. But as I watched the app change back from "traction tires advised" thru "all vehicles except all-wheel drive must chain" to closed then back...I managed to get to Ellensburg, where they had the road coned off and closed. The Loves was overpacked (including 2 Greyhound"s), the Flying Pilot was overpacked, there were drivers lined up ready to enter the ramp, there was a line down the shoulder of the exit ramp...any spot you could fit 70' of truck, it was taken. Soooooo, I rolled back east an exit to Kittitas. There is a little Shell dirt(mud) lot fuel stop with a hot deli and, most importantly, available parking. So, I am done for the night. Backhaul never called, so I'm guessing they're still looking. Honestly, I hope they don't do me like they did Chemster and run me back over Snoqualmie empty to get onions. I would just soon pick something up out of Seattle or OR headed back east. Or at least something I could run down and across 84 instead. I honestly am about as sick of winter as I have ever been....c'moooooooooon spring!!!!

This is what I saw in Lookout Pass this a.m. on my way out of MT

Notice, the tires on that mega snow thrower are taller than our trucks tires, and the wall of snow it was moving was taller than it's tires.

    jdrentzjr Thanks this.

I applaud your dedication to the job , however I'm not looking to join you out there , although here I sit Wed. a week after I put myself on the backhaul board waiting in Buckeye AZ , buttkicking temps in the 80's , but making no moolah ! It may be he's trying to get me a load back to TX , as I told him Thurs I'm hoping for , over a D/H to Henderson and a load up by where you guys were on Monday. I left the house 1/31 and looking to get back that way before I get mean and nasty , that would happen about the 27th or 28th , I know me , a month on the road I no longer want to be with me , that's pretty bad !
Hope all is good guys , I hit a Deer in Fruitvale AL after dropping a poly driver off in Meridian MS , at 11pm on the 4th , my 1 yr anniversary began the 5th and at 0045 on the 5th the Deer did a kamikaze running right to the front left corner of my truck , tearing up the bumper cover. When I returned last Wed , I got with shop and had a new/used cover 3 hrs after I arrived. So here to the shop doing a helluva job last WED ! I guess anything is possible !

Snoqualmie broke my streak of 'no chaining'. It has been.....a while, long enough that this ole' man can't remember what year....but I had to hang some iron. Hung 4 sets in under 30 minutes, drove 7 miles, removed 4 sets in 5 minutes. Got over to Seattle to one of the smallest construction supply places I have ever seen. A 53' might have been able to hide behind their building...if whomever looking for it is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. And it was an unload in the street. Good thing I only had 7 pallets because I have a backhaul...Bellingham, WA to Monroe, LA...Plywood...4 x 8 sheets in a dry van...it's a 1st for me. But it also means that this paperwork won't get turned in by Sunday...oh well, knew it could happen before I took the load. But with this delivering asap FCFS. I will make it back to GP next week with 4300 miles. So, I am closing in on anotber 10k mile month during the slow season(as slow a season as we have) the snackbar is smiling.
