I personally usually only take 4 or 5 days off no matter how long I've been out or how hard I've ran. But with me having to build an addition on my house as quick as I can...I will most likely take a week off. Since I am averaging over the 8k requirement...Poly won't care.

You can take up to 7 business days off per home time as long as you are covering your 8K per month. This time I was able to take 11 days off because I delivered Wednesday afternoon right before going home. holidays and weekends don't count on your 7 days.

I got GP to give me a 900(same) so I can drop this truck off, turn in my 4100 mile paperwork and get myself a loaner to deliver on Monday. So that will officially put me over 9500 by the 23rd. Mother nature is doing all she can to keep me away though. Woke up to pouring rain, and now my drivers door is leaking along with my windshield. I decided to take the southern route out of WA to avoid Snoqualmie(I'm getting tired of that name) and I thought I was in the clear...until I get to Pendleton..where Cabbage was doing fine, but Meacham was chaining, and I just wasn't in the mood to hang iron today. So I checked up at the Tomahawk at the 216 and went in to watch the road conditions screen. 2 hours later, they dropped the chain law...and it looked like a concert or football game had let out..a parade of us all left. (There were some that said the casino is in with the state, they throw the chain law up, truck drivers come in and lose some cash, as the cashflow slows they call the state. The state drops the chains...everyone leaves...they wait a bit then put up the chain law, the place fills up with new drivers with some cash...cha ching. Based on the road conditions I saw, there might be some truth to that statement. It sure wasn't bad enough to chain where I was driving)I managed to make Ontario before I called it a night.

After delivery in Lebanon,OR Tuesday morning I was informed that the load from Boring,OR to Winnsboro,TX was cancelled. So I waited at the I5 exit 228 truck stop for further instructions. Two hours later I was given a load that picked up three miles from the truck stop going to Yuma,AZ. I could pic up/deliver asap. This was a somewhat unusual run since we are not allowed into CA. This meant i added an extra 175+/- miles by having to take the back roads through OR/NV/AZ to get to Yuma. Not a big deal as it was nice to see some scenery I've never experienced before.

I made delivery last night and am currently in Gila Bend,AZ. I will leave shortly to pick up in Mesa,AZ going to Schertz,TX (San Antonio) for a Monday delivery. Guess who's spending Sunday at home?

Don't fear the bad weather...between 2/14 (at 5 pm rush hour) and Sunday 2/23 noonish I will have turned over 4125 miles. This includes chaining over that un-named "S" mountain pass in WA, 3 delivery stops and 1 backhaul pick up. And between 2/3 and 2/23 I will have turned over 8300 miles (9400 turned in but 900 of that was carried over from my last Jan trip that got me home) by my 2/24 delivery I will have over 21,000 for the year already.
