It says active 0 total codes 15 total. What a great truck. Does not let the actual driver know anything.

One of the neat thngs I like about working here is that we're allowed 2 truck washes per month...unlike Happy Valley trucking that won't let you wash it more than 2 times in 3 months. After playing in all the nasty stuff out west, my chariot was brown with a little red showing through. Hit Amarillo on the way to GP and now it is bright red again.

Monkey, with these new emissions it could be any one of the previous situations already presented. But I'm leaning towards a clogged DPF. I second SS's suggestion of contacting Tommy (which it seems you have), if no satisfaction there & truck continues to shut itself off, then call Fleetnet. However, wait to call Fleetnet, if you can, until you can locate a dealer that can get you in quickly (easier said than done). Take the initiative to call dealers along your route or close to your unload point. If you can find one that can get you in quickly then call Fleetnet & tell them that's where you want to go.

    Good luck.

Averitt Express had the driver wash their own truck.

It's not shutting off after I got the oil filter replaced. Just a lot of white smoke coming out of exhaust and check engine light.

white smoke, no loss of coolant, low oil pressure, shuts off....

add oil, change oil filter, still get white smoke, but does not shut off...

EGR valve... which is plugging your DPF filter.

At least that is my experience, twice.

not to ask a silly question, but... have you tried a parked regen? The erg trucks with the dpf have a #7 injector that sprays diesel in the exhaust when going thru a regen...that is what causes my truck to blow clouds of smoke from time to time. If I don't keep the rpms and/or speed up on the highway then it loads the dpf with more diesel than it can burn. Then when I do get rolling hard again, all that excess diesel in the dpf burns off with clouds of smoke. It really smokes a lot when I run OR and WA. I found that if I can keep it over 63 it doesn't send up smoke signals.

    Monkey1house Thanks this.
