Ive tried to do a regen but it wont let me. Never done a parked regen yet. I push the button and it just flashes green 3 times and nothing happens. 3 hours empty and it drove just fine. No light or smoke.

sounds very familiar... no load, no need for additional boost, so no change to the EGR, so no additional pressure on the exhaust, so no smoke.... but your EGR is not working under load, and your dpf is clogging...and then your 7th injector gets clogged, and you can't do a rejen.

Got 1700 miles to get back to yard. Should I try to make it and have shop fix it while I'm at the house or do I need to get this egr valve fixed sooner? I'd much prefer the former but I dont want to screw the truck up.

As long as it will run I guess you would be ok till GP. Wouldn't blame you for trying.

from my limited experience, the 2 times, you won't screw the truck up, the computer will shut you down before that happens...
Me, I would continue on to the yard, and get it fixed while at home.. Who needs a week in a motel away from home waiting for repairs.

My husband is home here in PA, on his first load that delivers about 2 hours from the house on Wednesday morning. And of course, his check engine light came on... Welcome to the company, right? :)

Funny the topic of the little triangle and the fault code came up. I dropped my truck off for repairs and picked up a loaner...which gave me a triangle and an engine msg....I hope they get my truck done soon(I know, I know...I should know better)

Had a great Sunday off at home. Made delivery this morning. Sent empty msg at 1200. Thirty minutes later backhaul called with a Pol-Tex transfer to GP. I immediately call outbound & leave message to put me on the board for tomorrow, but thinking that is all ready early afternoon & probably will have to wait till Wednesday for an outbound. Not so, two hours later outbound calls with one load left for Tuesday. A transfer to Up North. Yeah, it's going to be cold, but I'll stay busy.

You can have it...this truck has issues. No cruise, no jake (although I think those issues are a result of a faulty adjustment the shop did to the clutch pedal linkage and the computer thinks I have my foot on the clutch so it won't engage cruise or jake)and the sleeper fan does not run at all. It's suppose to be below zero up there again. Without a sleeper heater, I don't think just the front fan could keep up in those temps. The fuse/breaker isn't blown so who knows whats up with it. I have a 46,000 lb load out of Winnsboro, LA going to Waco that was suppose to deliver on Tuesday, but I have turned 3700+ miles with 4 delivery stops and 2 backhaul pickups in the last 8 days plus a lot of bad weather travel time...my logbook is used up. So they are going to reschedule for 8 am Wednesday, then back to GP. As soon as I got done getting my load info from the broker, I put myself on Wednesday's board. It is so nice to be tired from working hard instead of tired from sitting, waiting and wishing.
