I look at the my favorite trucking company posts a lot. We make far more with less stress then 99% of the companies on this forum. And with the majority of them a lot more. It would be nice if they all knew that.

Outbound called this morning. They only had one load left for Wednesday. A load to Greenfield, IN for Friday. But he said exactly what I was thinking when he offered it...if I take it, I'm headed to UPN and won't make it home when I want...so, a first for me, I passed on the load and said I'll wait until Thursday. I will be glad when my 'honey-do list on steroids' jobs are done and I can go back to my usual...go anywhere anytime, run 'til I drop...self. But I can't complain, after this load, I will be close to 22k for the year by the 26th of February...and had 8 days off.

Also, as I was approaching the exit where I was going to spend the night...like Monkey1's truck, my loaner truck shut down on the interstate...with the little triangle and an 'engine warn' message....it has 329500 miles on it. Maybe it also needs a new DPF. My oil pressure at 1500 rpm was 20psi..oil temp was normal, engine temp was fine. I wonder if maybe it's a sending unit on the oil pressure. It didn't sound any different than a normal ISX..

A new drivers first run is always through the house...even if they don't need it.

So, I know it's early, but does he like it so far?

Replace oil filter. I was told its the oil they use that clogs the filter and we need to replace sooner. Oil pressure hits 20 and truck just stops.

He likes it so far. He was really nervous because he hasn't had to back up with a 53' trailer in a long time!

Ok you guys, I'm finally taking the plunge. My application is ready to be faxed tomorrow, with one exception. In the section where they ask about any accidents we have had, do we have to go back more than 10 years?

Other than that section, my application is ready to go. I'm crossing my fingers that they will accept me.

A big THANKS goes out to everyone who has contributed to this thread. It has been a huge help.

I read through some of the ISX pages on the forum...and I would agree. I think that is the problem with my loaner. And when I opened the sidebox, what do I see, a spare oil filter. This truck must have a habit of doing this. They said on one of the pages that an engine update is needed to change the timing a bit which causes less soot and thus less to filter out. My regular truck has never had this problem so mine must be set right.
