It depends on if they need anyone from your location. My husband heard back within about a week. He got the info to fly down for his face to face and was offered the job before he left the interview! Others, it has taken weeks to months! It all depends. There are only two people that handle the dozens (if not hundreds) of applications they receive, so just be patient. If you haven't heard in a couple weeks, then feel free to call or email, but don't get too crazy about it.Good luck!
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I just read that we are going to have an El Niño this year....which means a warmer winter next year...about darn time. I've been burning as much fosil fuel as I can to try to restart some global warming around this part of the world again.

After spending last weekend at home and making the delivery on Monday morning, which lasted till noon, I went to Pol-Tex for transfer to Henderson. Over 1700 miles to turn in the next three days. NOT SO FAST big boy!
En-route to Pol-Tex dispatch called to ask if I would give a ride to another driver back to Grand Prairie. Well. Ok. I'm not one to say no to help when need. I had planned to stay the southern route so I could pass back thru the house one more night; plus avoid GP because the truck was due for a PM, which I was hoping to get done on the road.
Anyways, when I hooked to the trailer at Pol-Tex, it had a flat tire. It was only a two delay but all in all not a bad thing as it was 1700 when I called for road service. The delay allowed rush hour traffic to thin out.
Well, since I was going to be passing thru GP with a truck that was over due for a PM I requested a 900 SAME and it was granted. I figured if the shop could get PM done by Wednesday at noon I could still make it to Henderson by Friday and hopefully get a Blaine,WA load. The PM was done by 1030 Tuesday morning! However, they found an air leak and wanted to replace the steer tires. The tires I figured would be a quick fix, but the air leak had me worried. To my surprise the truck was back in the shop by noon and ready to go when I checked again around 2100.
I left GP at 1030 Wednesday morning so I could complete a 34 hour restart and have lots of good hours to run to the northwest and back. Thursday afternoon outbound calls and says there was good news and bad news. Good news...I was first on the board. Bad news...the earliest trip leaving Poly West was Monday for a Wednesday delivery in Sumner. OUCH!!! So, I have a 1700 mile week.
On the bright side, it is NASCAR weekend in Vegas and I'm parked at the Petro across from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Today I walked myself on over to said track and watched practice sessions for Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, and then Sprint Cup qualifying. Thinking about going back tomorrow to watch the Nationwide Race.
On a lighter note, has anyone else ever gone to a hockey game and watch a dance contest break out? I've seen fights break out. This past Saturday night my wife obtained tickets for our minor league hockey team The San Antonio Rampage. Several times during the first period the game was stopped to repair the ice along the base boards by the bench area. At the 12:01 mark of the first period the game was stopped for a third time. After about five minutes an announcement was made the game had been temporarily suspended due to poor ice conditions at which time the music began to play along with the cameras panning the crowed. Music + camera + people= an impromptu dance contest for about 30 minutes. After that the game was officially suspended until a later date.
That's all the news I can safely disseminate on a public forum at this time. Stay tuned! -
