I am looking forward to getting back on the road. My wife and I just put down 100 80lb bags of concrete in 1 day(bought bags because I thought I was going to be doing it on w/e when you have to pay extra to get a mixer delivery). On the first Crete thread, there was a member who had a signature "pain is weakness leaving the body"...I must have a lot of weakness that wants out...

I have talked to a driver here that run from GP to FL and back every week.

Google streetview is amazing. 90% of the time I can check out a customers location b4 I even get there. That with the satellite image and gps I might never get lost again. How did the old guys just do this with payphones and faxes!? At least they had less traffic.

I agree the Google Maps App is great. Ben using it for several years. I deliver in Henderson tomorrow. Not sure what I'll be doing after that.

Parked at the Love's in Ontario, OR last night. Nice easy, wide open, pull forward/back in parking space to my left. Parking spot on my right was occupied. One guess as to hit my mirror while attempting to occupy the space to my left. Luckily the mirror's break away feature worked & only real damage was to the paint on the back of mirror. But it still created way to much paperwork & a visit from the local police.

SS, I'm with you on that pain leaving the body comment.

I am my husband's Google map, lol. When his GPS takes him the wrong way or he's just looking to see if there's another way, he calls me up and I pull up Mapquest and/or Google maps to help him out. :)

So we're still waiting on the mortgage stuff. We were approved with conditions. The conditions are that we need something from Poly saying that he will average so many miles a week...haha! We already know they won't give something like that, so there's a good chance we won't be getting the mortgage. :-( Our only other option is to find a rental that will accept our 2 dogs and 3 cats... Ugh... Our 9 year old misses daddy and wants him home. There are many reasons we wanted to move to Texas, but the main was to see him more often. We will figure something out. This research queen will figure it all out and we will be down in Texas sooner, rather than later. Just not in the house I had my heart set on... :-(

OMG.... 80 pike in ohio.... and I only seen what was left after them clearing enough to open it back up.... was complete destruction of at least 20 trucks.... Took them since yesterday to clear that mess. I stopped driving just in time last night. Near out of time. Was my planned stop. Just 20 or so miles from this. Nutzzzzz trucks flipped in the ditches before and after that big one too.

Made it to Maryland. Drop in morning then back haul from PA to Wilmer TX for a roll back.

I would like to offer you a suggestion. Try looking up www.naca.com. it's the Neighborhood Associations Corp of America. They look at your financial situation from a different perspective, and financing is not based on the total amount of the loan but on what you can afford. And they just need to see average monthly earnings..They loan money to truckers and commission sales people who can demonstrate ability to pay..

Not a Crete. Swift. The driver was an immigrant from the middle east that could barely speak or understand English.

Well. The west is not being kind with outbound freight. Talked to dispatch & was told it would be Sunday at the soonest. I'll be delivering tomorrow & will be on the yard hopefully before 1430 so I can turn in paperwork. Anybody else going to be there let me know.
