Very disheartening. It really grieves me to see what this industry is allowing itself to become. Glad the damage wasn't worse.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

At Old place a flat bed blinged out Peterbuilt backed into me then pulled away. Ripping out the back part of side skirting. Then tried to leave. I jumped out. He asked me if I could go back to sleep and call it in ... In the morning. White guy. I said oh I could but not going to. So just saying it's not just the minorities that makes mistakes. Just sayin...... LOL

FL you are correct, &I did not mean to imply he was a bad driver because he is an immigrant. He told me he had only been with Swift for two weeks & it was going to be his second incident. Said he had driven somewhere else previously. I will admit that I too feel that many of these drivers, immigrant or otherwise, are not receiving enough proper training before being turned loose to drive solo. Many moons ago most drivers got their early experience from driving farm equipment & knew how to respect the tractor/trailer equipment they were entrusted to drive. Now days, many new drivers think the equipment is nothing more than a large for wheeler.
What I didn't say in the previous post was that after hitting the mirror he went to a different parking spot. I confronted him about the indecent & he tried to deny it. Until I told him there was another eyewitness. Then he tried to bribe me not to report it. Sorry,I value my cushy job.48Packard Thanks this. -
Personal responsibility....gone the way of the DeSoto....

Maybe the combination of that, along with a history of what he made at his previous job (if it was the same line of work) would be enough to prove he has the necessary income.
One thing to remember is that, just because they gave you a list of conditions, it doesn't mean they won't give you the loan - IF you are missing one of the conditions, but can give them something else that proves the same thing the missing condition would have proven.
For example, I used to get applications once in a while for people who were self employed. Well, the lenders normally asked for 2 years W2's, one months of pay stubs, and the borrower's last 2-3 bank statements. All of these documents normally go toward proving in writing that the borrower does indeed have the income they are stating they have.
The problem for self employed borrowers was that they normally didn't have W2's because they didn't pay themselves the same way as people get paid when the work for someone else.
Even though the self employed borrowers didn't have W2's, I was often able to get them approved anyway if I could get some kind of documentation that proved that they had the income they needed to qualify. Sometimes I could use the last 2 years' tax returns. Sometimes I used a letter their company received from one of their major customers that outlined the amount of business they would be giving them.
The key was, that I had to be creative in finding documentation that would help prove to the underwriters that what was stated on my application was actually true. That's really what it all comes down to.
Your loan officer needs to communicate with the lender to see if there is anything else you can provide to satisfy that condition from the list. If you have a good loan officer/mortgage person, they will be fighting for you to get your loan approved. If they can't get it approved with that lender, maybe they can try another lender. Where there is a will, there often times a way. -
Yep, I drove by that carnage today too. Fortunately I was going west, because traffic was backed up for probably 4-5 miles going east on 80. There were a couple more slow ups in traffic going that direction too. I saw some really horrible looking wrecks along this stretch.
Like yourself, I'm sure glad I stopped driving when I did last night. -
how does it work with tolls on broker loads? does the broker get the bill for tolls?just wondering if any of you have had an issue with that at all, for example if you took a rte with tolls but couldve taken one without, i havnt had any problems but was just thinkn bout it.

Carrier is responsible for all tolls. That is negotiated in the freight rate. I've taken toll road when other route is available. Keep it under 10% out of route and you'll be ok.
Got a load going to Sumner again. Will leave Saturday morning.Zangief and againstthewind Thank this.
