I've had this load a couple of times, but have always gotten the "p/u today deliver tomorrow" type timing on the load. It is one of the few loads I haven't gotten excessive amounts of extra time on.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Has anyone else seen an increase in q/comm messages lately? The last 2 backhauls I've had, the info came via q/comm.

Got a backhaul from Wichita to Lewisville, TX. Earliest appointment receiver had was Wednesday. Even with my many many days off this quarter, once I drop this paperwork I will still be waaaay ahead of where I was this time last year over at Happy Valley. Plus I have stayed over the 8000 mile/month quota all year. In fact, if outbound has the right load, and I get out and back by next Monday, I could still be averaging 10k/month...with 19 days at home out of the 90 thus far in the year.
The backhaul I picked up was one of those places that was built long before Wichita got big. They were in an industrial area(kinda) on a 2 lane road where you have to back in off the street and leave your nose hanging out...but traffic was so busy the whole time I was there, you almost needed a traffic cop out there holding up traffic...nice people, but lousy location. -
Have a question. I received an envelope today with a poly trucking flyer, and full application with it. I was interested in driving for Poly awhile back. I left a message, but that's been awhile ago. Are they looking for drivers currently?

Dropped in PA next to the us Steel plant. Made within a hour of drop 2. I think I might be able to get 2,3, and 4 dropped tomorrow. Finishing up on Wednesday. For back haul to GP. Emergency hose snapped a leak last night just as I was turning thru 5 he parking lot at pilot in Fremont. It was so old it was pink and white. Blue line had been replaced before. The red line was so old I could crumble it in my hand. Dry rotted and very brittle. Just glad it happened in a parking lot. Fleet net said I had to call and report it. When I called and told them where I was. They were like .... Ohhhh never mind. Thought you were dropping the trailer and pulled away with lines hooked or turned to far.

I was just thrown off by the length of time inbetween first contact and receiving it. Currently like where I'm at but I heard today that a company might buy us out. Anyway, how much Florida freight does Poly have?
-
I've heard they have plenty of applicants, but very few are meeting qualifications. I.e. a good MVR, low CSA score, & at least one year experience. So it might be that they are contacting previous applicants that did meet the qualifications.

Some only run Florida. I only went once 3100 miles first week.

I see. No problem in any of those areas. I'll send it off this week. Have followed this thread for quite some time now, so I understand the hiring process takes time.
