Two of the worst places to eat in the whole country. TA diner at 1st place and Waffle House. How do you #### up a omelette??? Who are these people that drive a car and decide "Im hungry but I want to eat garbage from an unsanitary hellhole of depression and broken dreams. I KNOW lets stop at a TA or Waffle House."

I ate at IHOP yesterday. Imo, you may want to add IHOP to your list. I had an omelette, and it was a little dry/overcooked. And it didn't really have much flavor. Kinda reminded me of truckstop food.

I love IHOP. Have not been in 10 years but from what I remember a great place to bring the family. Only had the pancakes though.

I have the Rand Mcnally 720 and it might be the best purchase I ever made. But it can do some weird stuff at times so you want to always remember your route. An example is say dallas to memphis and it wants me to take I30 to I40 instead of I440. Which is just stupid. And wrong speed limits and tells you a curve is ahead and its a straight road. But its extremely accurate when routing is correct. I have it on fastest not shortest and I really dont know how I drove without it. I think it's the same with automatic trucks. Once you actually use a good one you will never want to go back. i dont understand how its not an industry standard by now. "Oh, its just gonna dumb down the trucking industry." I really dont think that's possible.

You can add Denny's to that list...I only eat at Denny's when I need to lose weight from the food poisoning diet. Been there 3 times, go real sick 2 of the 3.

You're on the list. If they're desperate enough to call me...they'll be calling you very soon

Funny, when I decided a few months back to start researching potential new jobs, Crete was way up there on my list, and remained there despite some of the 'bad trucking company' stuff I read.. Until I found this thread and realized how many former (senior) Crete drivers moved to Poly..:biggrin_25517:

So my husband is picking up a load tomorrow in MA and headed back to Texas for a Monday delivery. Then he's going to take a 34 hr restart at the shop while they do his service. Hopefully we can schedule the inspection on the house we are buying so that he can go during his 34. Meanwhile, I'm trying to help the kids with their school work (they are in cyber school here at home) and trying to get the house all packed up for the move. It's not fun doing it alone, and the kids are more in the way than they are helpful, lol. This home purchase is really stressing us out, mainly because our lender is an idiot! Just hoping we can close in a couple of weeks, move, and then be stress free! :)

Since he helped out last night with relaying that load and cutting into his home time, when he's ready to roll again, he gets put on the top of the board! :)

My company called me this morning wanting to know if I'm looking at another job. It's good to know that after one day, Poly is moving forward with my application. They had sent me a email on my other account a few days ago thru careerbuilder.com that I just saw this morning. Hope things move smoothly.

    gjcarr03 and jdrentzjr Thank this.
