I am experiencing one of the joys of coming to SoTex.. no hablan Inglés. And this is the security guard(s) for the customer. Gota love it...

-Edit- as I was preparing to back in, the broker for my next load calls me...not backhaul...the broker. I am not picking up in Laredo, rather, I am picking up in Eagle Pass going to Midlothian.

That's my home town :yes2557: There's a small Loves there but you'll be so close to the Poly yard. Closer to Poly than the Crete terminal :mooh:

Well my a/c is pretty worthless when idling which really sucks when your APU goes out. Getting the same old message that I got with the last truck with the Dynasys "oil pressure is low". Runs for a short while and then shuts off. Oil and coolant levels are fine. Called the company and they told me what the likely culprit was, nothing that I can repair.

Was able to get my WM appt changed from 1630 to 0600 tomorrow which will save me from sitting around here in triple digits and will get me back to PW in time to hopefully make a partial foray up toward Washington. Going to take the back way up through the "extraterrestrial highway" and Winnemucca, Bend etc. this time. I really like that way much better than the interstate and with the extra head start shouldn't be much of a problem getting where I need to be on time.

I just realized something...it's been months since I've seen the NW. It's starting to feel like Cret....uhhhh....no, strike that, it'll never feel like that here...what was I thinking....I better go get some coffee and wake up...I must have been having a bad dream

I may have opened my mouth too soon about the NW. I put myself on Wednesdays board. Just got off the phone with Outbound...I was offered a choice of 2 loads left for tomorrow. A 4 stopper to Mass or a load to University Park, IL. I took the IL load, why break my 7 month streak of no northeast, plus I need a break from multi-stop loads. My last 2 outbound loads totaled up to 10 deliveries of our product. From University Park I will most likely head to the MN area. Then that usually means, at least for me, off to the west coast. I was thinking about being home for Mothers Day so we could take my MIL out for dinner....that plan may not work out, but I can't blame Poly...I didn't warn them, but at least I am staying busy. It'll kinda make up for all the extra time I took off in the 1st quarter.

My husband is on his way to Laredo! Then I'm not sure where he'll go as he has to be back to GP by Sunday night for our closing on Monday (unless the appraisal changes things...) Then he'll take a week of while he flies home for us to pack up a trailer and drive the 25+ hour trip to our new home in Texas! It should be fun with three kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats in a mini van...
