@ssb im glad your wife is getting a vacation. .. Mine is still looking for a job preferably with our school district. . I keep getting onto her cause shes Heavely involved with pta... No joke shes the president of the pta for a elementary and jr high.... I keep telling her um hey babe You know that crap is voluntary right... Stop putting the house second to something your not getting paid for. Lol. I still admire her work ethic.. The whole reason why. I married her but just not for all out volunteer work where everyone believes they have a better way to run it but none will step up to take the position

Thanks...I just talked to her this morning...so much for her vacation. The city council president called her at home last night encouraging her to attend tonight because the farmers market is 1st on the agenda and the voiding of the current managers contract that was offered (but not signed). And a motion to investigate her because she has been in contact with someone inside the city that has been passing privileged info onto her. They are talking about revoking all of her business permits and licences within the city. And then they will motion that my wife be offered the position. And she has most of the city council members on her side along with over a dozen vendors from the market there in support...along with almost every vendor giving her written recommendations. I don't mean to count her chickens before they hatch but...I am taking togo orders for a chicken bbq.

I realize this doesn't have anything to do with how things work here at Poly...which is the reason for the thread. But, along with my changed attitude and temperament since joining the Poly drivers family...it just shows how much more I need to improve. When this first happened, she didn't over react (like I would have...and probably still would have done) she took the high road and probably did the best thing and the most aggravating thing to the manager. She accepted her termination with a smile and said "great, now I can concentrate my efforts on my own business not running yours". And when the lady said she has probably ruined any chance of ever being the manager...my wife said "fine with me, I had a business and a life before this, I'll have one after this, best of luck"...which my wife said whizzed her off because she was expected to fall apart or go ballistic... instead she remained calm, cool and collected and moved on with her day...I need to learn more from that woman!!!

Well I had a dbl wammy today.. I believe it is my air regulator stopped working abd my load from snf ink (totes) shifted. Bam right in the kisser. When I strapped it up I didnt look all the way to the front of the trailer to ensure they had air bags all the way to the nose. Just went as far as the first 2 rows and got burned... It was some mexican guy that loaded me.

The length of time for their contacting you after interview varies. Send an email requesting the status of your application after a week or so.

Beautiful drive today thus far. Took the back roads along the "extraterrestrial" highway and then hit US6 to NV376 to US50 to NV305. Probably fewer than 100 cars passed by me in ca. 350 miles of driving. Fueling in Winnemucca now preparing to head up US95 into Oregon. Hoping to deliver tomorrow night in Blaine and get something good for Saturday morning.
