Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I take it you didn't bother to read any of the previous pages.

 

Not headed to the west coast. It was a boring morning followed by 5 minutes of mayhem. Got to my delivery in University Park, IL. Waited for my unload...which gave me time to clean a bit. But still no backhaul call. I was getting concerned. But about the time I decided to get next months loose leaf log book pages ready, the consignee called. As I was easing over to pick up my trailer, backhaul calls. Which means I have to get quicker with this phablet...since I use its handy dandy stylus and notepad app for load info, I have to fiddle around getting everything running while I am on the phone. I pick up north of Chitcago headed for UPN...and backhaul automatically put my available time in the system because about the time I step out of the truck to hook up...outbound calls. Out of UPN I am headed for Buford, GA for Tuesday. Since I turned in over 3700 miles on that last trip, I will hold off turning this paperwork in until I get back to GP. So I ended up with only 9200 miles paid (but I added the pay for 12 extra stops). Not record setting but still productive. And once I turn in these miles next week...that will start May off with a bang...and I still may be able to get home for Mothers Day.

Did everyone have a good Earth Day this week? I celebrated by idling my truck an extra 5 hours...

 

Got the call from Meghan today and offered me the job. She is checking to see if they can fly me in next week. Thanks again for all of the good info in this thread.
