I got a question about maxxforce engines. I got the amber engine light on. When i tin yge diagnosicts(push on snd resume button at same time) it shows mo active faults but 7 prev faults. Is there a way to clear that so light goes out.

No way to clear it without a laptop and the Navistar software. When I had my Maxxfarces at Crete, they said to ignore it for a while, it sometimes clears itself after a certain number of starts. Sorta like it got an 'out of parameter' reading on one of the sensors, but if it gets normal reading on it later, it keeps the engine light on until it keeps getting a normal reading. In fact, on Crete's truck, I used black tape to cover it because it would come on so often. The red engine and the upside down triangle are the dangerous lights...but if it doesn't go out in a couple weeks, you may want to have the three stooges plug their magic box into it to see. I have never been able to find any codes list that has the engine codes my trucks have had displayed...

A word of advice to anyone who sets up a double direct deposit. When I 1st started here I had put down 2 direct deposit accounts. 1st was my Bluebird prepaid, so I could get cash at an ATM or buy stuff like a debit card at Wally, 2nd was my normal checking account. They just now started dropping money on my Bluebird account. It turns out, they only accept direct deposit paperwork that is preprinted, no hand written account numbers. Bluebird offers forms both ways, and no one in HR told me that bit of info about it having to be preprinted by the bank...after I got all the forms in right it took 1 week to get the deposits....so print out the computer generated form if you ever use Bluebird or any other type debit card that doesn't have a voided check you can use.

Got back to GP last night. My next loads out at 5am tomorrow morning. Heading to Charlotte for Monday morning. Going to squeeze in a 34 here for a fresh 70. Already got my backhaul info, heading right back to the Dallas area. Always nice to know your complete trip ahead of time!!

you mean get paid? I think you have to notify compliance and get approval first...I could be wron. I have only used that thing 1 time for less than a dozen pallets and it didn't take long so I never asked for extra pay.

I just peeked at the last 7 days. Since leaving GP last Saturday I have turned 3328 miles and have 8 hours left on my 70 for tomorrow...so add another 425-450 to that in 8 days. And, it hasn't all been under 1 load. I delivered and picked up in MN, delivered and picked up in IN, delivered and picked up in MN again, delivered and picked up in MI, and now I am enroute to TX. I can't imagine ever doing that in a Crete truck. And the weirdest thing...I'm not tired. If I hadn't seen it for myself, I wouldn't have thought I ran that many miles based on the way I feel.

Plus, this truck has been getting amazing fuel mileage. I am sitting at 875 miles since I filled in UPN...and I still have half a tank. If it were my old Crete truck, I would be searching for a fuel stop listening to the contstant reminder beep from the low fuel warning...here, I might be able to make 1600 miles on this fill up...and with 42-44,000 lbs.
