To get paid for pallet pulls you call Outbound after complete unloading of last stop (if it's a multi stop load) and tell them the total number of pallets pulled for the entire load. They will tell you what it pays (usually $25-$50) and give you a number you can write Trip Report.

Every company has its idiosyncrasies ,
What are Polys hot buttons as far as fireable offenses.
Is it a easy going common sense place , or a concentration camp.
    Just curious.

On a side note , I saw some Poly trucks yesterday,
They run in packs , like a squadron of trucks
on a mission or something. Kinda cool

Number 1 thing that gets you fired...speeding and OOS violations. Tony(the guy in compliance who is the person who is told to call you on problems) said that Poly is going to really start coming down on drivers who get speeding tickets and equipment issues that put you out of service(BIG CSA points)

Not that it is a fireable offense(unless it is a regular problem) you must wear your company(provided) shirt when on company property or when at a customer

They take logs and safety very serious here.

NO pee bottles in the truck...period. If they find one...no warning...just a trip to the exit gate.

Most things they cover in orientation...except, nothing hanging off the back of the truck(brooms, bikes, totes, etc.) Park your bob tail with the rest of the bob tails...even if you are sleeping in it...(I have found about every place they don't want you to park)...and don't turn in your paperwork to our Mont Belvieu, TX raw materials plant, only at GP, Henderson, and Cottage Grove.

I finished the last 8 days with 3775 miles and 3 pick ups(not counting the one at GP) and 3 deliveries. If I only pick up a Poltex backhaul and deliver it to GP I will end up the month just under 11000.

I think I figured out why I can run like this here and not be that exhausted when running that hard elsewhere knocked my *bleep* in the dirt. Stress, or the lack of it here as opposed to the stress factories I have worked for in the past. It makes a huge difference...to this day the only regret I have about coming to Poly is that I didn't come here years and years ago.

Well that sounds ok , the no pee bottles tells me they give a driver enough time to stop for a break during the day as opposed to JIT loads that have one wishing they had a 10 gallon bladder! .
Their maintenance standard is my only real concern.
Never had an OOS , I run legal , and I've also heard they passed the EOBR , so paper logs will soon be history.

3775 works out to approximately 475 a day , that's pretty sweet . Sounds like you get your rest also .

( JIT = just in time , ie , not a second to spare once you let the clutch out )

Don't quite understand me going there Monday to meet them.Meghan didn't say bring anything but me.
    I'm just a driver , it's not like I'm important or a big deal.

So far this week I've wasted over 35 hours being detained at food places. It will be great to get a chance to leave the world of refridgerated trucks behind if they take me. :)

Hope they don't freak out if I bring my guitar .

Saw a pair of Poly trucks in different locations in Wyoming last few days. First one passed me, and I tipped my coffee cup to him as he went by. All I got was a look of disdain.

Had one parked in the same little truck stop in Bear River City, UT last night. He seemed nicer!

Ok now, you try 1600 miles and you'll be walking before 1500. It sounds like you are doing pretty good out there. Glad to hear things are going well for you. Things have been pretty good for me as well. No need to throw a bunch of numbers out there but they have been nice and the checks are really showing it. This truck I'm in has been nice to me. Such a relief to be out of the loaner program for a while. Thanks for all your posts. Take care out there. :)

Yea, the fuel made me a little uneasy. I guess I was sittting a little unlevel and the fuel equilized high on the tank with the gauge. About 30 miles down I57 in IL it had already dropped to just above 1/4 tank. When I pulled into the Love's in Matthews, MO, the idiot light was on for the last 10 miles but it still only took 201 gal...so I had another 140ish miles...which would have put me just under the 1500 mile mark.
